How do we go about that Jamey??? all it sees is DP10. Thanks! You have to wait for RAVEN to support DP11. But you can also open DP10 and RAVEN, the close DP10 while RAVEN is still running an open DP11.. However, DP11 broke our track detection so you won't be able to use the RAVEN Mixer in Dp11 yet.

Fader groups is working good Raven but so far I'm just using folders... do you have or is there some preset Batch Commands for fader groups? What would a script for fader group BC's look like on DP. Does it work the same in protools? Do you have anything for this in DP? Do I have to start from scratch? lol... Thanks Waxman

Thanks Waxman I don't think DP has any key commands or menu items for these options. pro tools has Track Visibility, logic has Group Show/Hide, studio one has Scenes, and Cubase has Visibility Configurations all for easy fader focusing. But I have never seen anything like this in DP.

I tried lots of things last night... it appears the best way to make this fly is to use the Track selector in DP. Once tracks are in folders or "Fader Groups" in the mixer the track selector will float above the Raven. Also the control section for DP is now viewable above the Raven. If you keep it to 16 tracks the floating mixer lines up well at 135% zoom and the inserts and sends are visible. A second option is to set up Window Sets and save those to BC with quick key designations. That is a lot more work than just using the track selector pop outs in DP. Over all like always not perfectly integrated but that goes with the territory of having a dynamic GUI. What I think I'll go with is a channel strip pop out on the left side and the Track selector on the right. It also seems like a single Raven will work for everything. I'll be trying some more things today. As far as I can tell Fader Groups do not work with BC's in DP 11. If ANYBODY finds quick keys or commands to select faders let me know...

FIXED....
Matt from MOTU tech support suggested Track Layout. It is sequence specific. Set Track Layout Group. Name it in custom. It comes up in Commands and give it a command key then program the Batch. It works just the Steven Slate mix video with what SS calls fader groups. Also If you don't want to program fader groups a floating Track selector from the mixing board works great! Thanks to Jameyz and thanks to Matt

It's called track layout. You pick a group of faders, group them, name them. In the Command window add a shortcut key command. Use that key to create a batch command.

So far working great with the "Pin to Focus" option checked on in the Control Surface Setup.. I just assigned the shortcuts CNRL CMND OPT NUMPAD 1-8 to these "Track Layouts" and then popped those same key commands into some Batch Commands.. Now to take it one step further I also saved the Window set with the relative Plugins open and then mapped another key command for that. So now a single Batch Commands can focus the desired tracks and plugins really fast.

I have it on "Pin to Mixer." I do track selector. / Layout/ Save Layout as./ Named it. "FX". / Goto Commands window. In the commands window it typed "FX." Gave it key command "F15". Made BC button named FX Fader Group in the Floating Favorites window. Basically the SS set up. Is there any difference between Floating Windows Floating Toolbar Favorite Toolbar and Essential?
I'm not understanding. Pin To Focus. How is that different from "Pin to Mixer". Whats the advantage? Also I am having trouble with my Window Sets in DP showing upon reopening my project. They are not in the list... I have a tech support ticket in for that. As most often it's a loose nut between the gas pedal and the steering window.
I like the strategy of modifier keys and number pad to pre set fader groups. So you just select a group then call it the predefined button? Am I catching that?
BTW I may be able do all this with one RAVEN Screen. I like having everything in front of me. We will see. Last time I tried one screen I lasted about and hour... lol

ok, here is a video on how to utilize Track Layouts and Window Sets with Batch Commands.
This is pretty similar to my workflow in Pro Tools so I think it is great I was able to replicate it in DP.

'Pinning' is one of three options we now have built into the MOTU mackie driver via control surface setup. Pinning, focus and all tracks. Its a cool thang me thinks.
