Hi,
Raven Faders are not controlling Logic Faders after a few minutes. Every time I open a session after turning on my Mac, Raven faders seem to be working fine for a while, and then all of a sudden they stop working. I turn them up or down and the Logic faders don't respond, but when I turn the Logic faders up or down, the Raven faders do respond. The only solution is to reboot the computer, but that only works temporarily as the same problem occurs. Its driving me crazy as I can't be rebooting the computer every 15 min.

Please file a support ticket so we can get your OS and DAW version information etc? slatemediatechnology.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/newPlease try reseting Logic Controller preferences and see if that helps the issue. Here is an article to explain how to reset V-control and Logic. slatemediatechnology.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360033789933-Logic-Pro-X-Reset-Control-Surfaces-and-V-Control

I have the same here. after a while, logic throws the Raven software out and I either have to restart my iMac Pro or if I'm lucky, all I have to do is restart the RAVEN software.
I've already reported that, I only got an unnecessary YouTube installation guide for stupid ones, nothing else.
and, not only does it happen to Big Sur, it also happens under Catalina. It reminds me of my original Mackie HUI, which was supported less and less after every Apple software update, although it is (was) THE HUI controller

We reported a bug to Logic about their "ports" constantly trying to connect to the "Waves" server and not letting any other controllers through. So perhaps just turning off "automatic installation" in the logic controller prefs will keep it from kicking out V-Control Pro.

Hi, no M1 .. iMac Pro 3.2 GHz 8-core Intel Xeon W .. OK, thanks, I'll give it a try and deactivate the automatic controller installation under Logic.

Hi, no M1 .. iMac Pro 3.2 GHz 8-core Intel Xeon W .. OK, thanks, I'll give it a try and deactivate the automatic controller installation under Logic. This is what I have heard from V-Control Pro about this " One Way Logic Communication" where RAVEN will listen to Logic but Logic will not listen to RAVEN/V-Control Pro Alert - Logic Pro X One-Way Communication Issue:Logic Pro X has a bug where it can intermittently not receive messages from a surface. We finally figured out that Logic does not properly configure a “network port” for receiving messages from surfaces. It happens if another application is using network port 7000 when Logic launches. Logic should detect this and use a different port, but it doesn’t. We helped one user determine that WavesLocalServer was using port 7000 and they worked around the issue by uninstalling Waves SoundGrid. If you experience this problem, message us directly and we can help you try to work around it. We have alerted Apple.

Yesterday I set up my external SSD with Catalina and did not install the Waves plugins. Since then the RAVEN has been working until now. There have not yet been any failures in the control panel. I've had problems because of this, but with my SSL Nucleus. The SoundGrid midi driver was annoying. I just had to remove it and I had no more problems with the SSL. I'll install waves without this SoundGrid story .. As I know Apple but there will be no fixed logic. You'd better adapt your software, I wouldn't rely on Apple!

HI, I'm on Catalina with Logic Pro X 10.4.8, and I've narrowed my problem. Raven works fine on initial start up but as soon as I close Logic, or it crashes, Raven does not control Logic's faders after firing up Logic again. I need to restart my Mac to get Raven to work properly.

So if anybody is getting "One Way" communication in Logic here are the steps needed so we can trouble shoot and gather some info for Apple.
1. Open Setups in Logic, click on RAVEN, note which network “input” port is being used. Typically 7000
2. Open Terminal. Enter the command “lsof -i4UDP:7000” and send a screen shot of this .
3. Repeat with “lsof -i6UDP:7000”
The Terminal results tell us what is using port 7000
If WavesLocalServer shows up in the “lsof” command results users have to:
1. Quit Logic 2. Terminate WavesLocalServer in Activity Monitor 3. Launch Logic

sorry, I called the terminal without starting Logic beforehand .... I don't know whether port 7000 is used, but if I deactivate the WavesLocalServer, it doesn't crash at the moment.

It's a new feature that helps communication between the newer waves plugins. I'm trying to upload a screen shot from terminal confirming WavesLocalServer is using port 7000 but I get the message Error: This forum has exceeded its attachment space limit.
