Hey Jamey. I am trying to achieve drawing attention to a created track without using mouse record functionality in the batch command. Mackie HUI , Command 8 , 002’s, 003’s and D Command, like the Raven use HUI protocol. Like Raven, you call attention to the track by physically touching the attention button on the control surface. Is there a way to create a batch command of banks of 8 (or similar idea) to draw attention to a fader number or name?
This would be massively useful, as the tracks move making all mouse recordings in a batch command, irrelevant.
In my mind, there must be a way because these Hardware interfaces communicate via midi protocol.
what do you reckon.

FYI those consoles use the "Ethernet HUI" connection so are a bit different than the RAVEN protocol. What are you trying to do once the track is at attention? Pt has "Scroll to Track" which I use to solo my Rough Mix.. "OPTION CMND F" Also, you can make the selected track fit the screen with "CNTRL CMND DOWN"

The Mackie HUI only ever used Midi. I had one , there was no USB, it was strictly midi over serial cables. Touch the track and it is selected, even if you banked by one or groups of 8. What I am trying to do, is the same old Monitoring problem I haven`t been able to achieve. I am trying to switch between monitoring 7.1.2/ 5.1, Stereo and Binaural (headphones) Down mixes by muting Auxiliaries. Everything works just fine, I just want those auxes hidden. I would like to create batch commands that Mute ,say, 4 Auxes and leave one unmuted etc. Making a track per group seemed the obvious way and muting groups by typing and selecting the Group ID, but this still doesn`t actually "select" the track that would be in the group ( not to mention I still haven`t found the key command to select and deselect the group yet)., to mute it. I would ideally have these batch commands on the ipad app. This way I could continue to mix and crosscheck the downmixes instantly. I have tried using MOTU AVB , which I have for my monitoring, but the lag with the MOTU web app makes this approach useless. Any ideas?

Any ideas? yeah, this is cool. idea, sort of a built in monitor controller script. Just name your 7.1.2 auxes a special name and use the "scroll to track" key command to get to it. 1. OPTION CMND F 2. "7.1.2 Aux" or whatever name the aux is. 3. Return 4. SHIFT M

Sorry for being thick How do I do step 2 as a Key command so it is part of the Batch command. I can seem to type text in the Key Command area... I tried copying and pasting as well as typing, but of course the Key command came back as command+ V
Cheers, Bill

I would use a name that doesn't have . or - or any weird characters. Otherwise you have to type part of the name then another key command for the odd character. youtu.be/6sDK3RgDxn4?t=745

Thanks mate, Still dosn`t seem to work. Is there some sort of preference in protools or Mojave that I need to select? ( I have terminal, PT, Raven and Automator updd, updd command, updd Daemon selected in Mojave) Preferences /Privacy/Accessibility The Batch command brings up scroll to track and that's it. I reduced the size of the name and made it 1 word without any weird characters, even made it all capitals. The command dosn`t go past scroll to track.
1. OPTION CMND F 2. "7.1.2 Aux" or whatever name the aux is. 3. Return 4. SHIFT M
Are the 4 key commands I am using.
Sorry to be a nuisance, but what am I missing here?
Cheers, Bill

Set every action to about 500ms and see if it works.

This works, sort of. The code that has been rebroken so that 7.1.2 tracks are not matching the GUI again makes the mixer wig out. When OPTION CMND F is used the track (especially the 7.1.2 track) cannot be hidden.Bringing it out of hiding throws all the other mixer channels into a mess, until you bank a couple of times (which also works inconsistently). I am trying anther way, using track selection from within memory locations. Say for example Memory location 999. when I recall . 999 . it highlights the track. My logic tell me that if I create a batch command that is
1. numpad . 2. 999 3. numpad . 4. SHIFT M
Should select the track and mute and unmute it. I`ve applied 1000 milliseconds to each command , but it is doing weird stuff like making the transport play... Hmmmmmm
any ideas?
Cheers

Thanks so much Jamey. Awesome. Just the right ingredients. Track selection from memory locations enables functionality whilst the tracks are hidden. Now I just gotta figure a way to dim and it will be just like a hardware solution. When do you think the programmer guys will refix the track width GUI issue? It was working just fine previously... Will it be for version 4?? or a 3.9 xxxxx
Cheers
