I am just finishing up on a new PC build, and I'm doing a complete start from scratch install of everything (Windows 10 Pro OS), Cubase 10.5 Pro. I'm wondering what would be the best way to proceed to install the Raven software, and keep all the layouts I have worked on, etc. Any advice on a smooth transition?

Copy over your App Data and .ravlay files. Go to Users/Name/AppData/Roaming/SlateMediaTechnology/Raven/ and copy this folder over to the new machine.

Just a follow up, and another question. The transition of the layouts went mostly well, but for some reason, they are not all working as programmed, so I'm not sure what can be done about that other than to redo them. But I do have a curious problem. When I set up templates for doing drum tracks (Cubase 10.5, Dual Raven setup) I made sure everything was lined up in the red lines and tracks are set to show 24 tracks, and then saved the templates. But every time I open the template to do tracks I have to realign the mixer. And the mute and solo buttons don't respond to touch. I didn't have this problem before. Any ideas on this problem? Thanks in advance.

Workspaces save Globally and not to the session template, so be sure to update your Workspaces for the desired Windows Configuration / Layout And the mute and solo buttons don't respond to touch. I didn't have this problem before. Any ideas on this problem? Thanks in advance. Probably a V-Control Pro setting in the Studio setup, be sure "smart switch delay" is set to "off"

Thanks for the reply and suggestions.
Yes, I did load the Raven Key Commands. The Batch Commands in the Layouts that aren't working are ones that I created. They had worked on the old computer.
As to the Workspaces, I have lined up the mixer, etc. and saved the Workspace, but for some reason when I open a new, or previously saved project, it goes back to not being lined up. Maybe I'm missing something else, but I think I'm doing it correctly.
That was the solution, thank you!
If I can get the Workspace issue resolved, I can probably deal with reprogramming the batch commands I had created. Thanks in advance again for the help.

But my workspaces save fine and globally so must be system specific.

It would depend on what the Batch Command is doing etc.. Impossible to trouble shoot without seeing the Batch Command script and knowing what it is supposed to do.. I would guess you had some custom recording scripts that didn't get copied over?

Sorry, I'm not totally sure what to do

I have noticed that to get the mixer screen lined up exactly, that it actually puts a small portion of the mixer to the next screen. But if I save the Workspace with it pulled in a bit it remembers that position perfectly when I recall the Workspace. Not sure what to do with this curiosity, but I have looked in video settings, etc. trying to figure it out. Thank you for reading...

And by the way, the AMD 3900x 12 core processor rocks so far!

Sorry, I'm not totally sure what to do You can delete it from the Workspaces.xml in the Cubase app data. Go to Users/Name/AppData/Roaming/Steinberg Or, you can just open the "Organize Workspaces" window and trash them all in there.

I have deleted and started from scratch, etc. And if I set it that the mixer is perfectly in the red lines, a small section of the mixer shows in the right project monitor. Not sure about that.

Must be a Cubase issue with the new windows update. I would reach out to Steinberg support as the Workspaces must not be saving correctly. Else start a support ticket and send pictures and perhaps we can do a screen share.

I have been out of pocket (birthday, finishing up a computer build for another studio owner), but the issue hasn't gotten any better. It has been an issue since mid-August as best as I can remember, so I am not sure it's a Windows update issue. I can send photos if needed, but the screen share might help you to see the issue a little better. I have set mixer in line and save Workspace, save the project, then close the project and reopen the project and it's back to being out of line. Trying to remember how to start the support ticket.... Any help is appreciated.
