Hi there.
(please bare with me, as I am not a native speaker)
I have just got my MTI2 and are setting it up for the first time. It's a demo that I got from a music store on eBay.
It looked brand new when I got it and it came with all the original packaging and supplies.
My problem is that the surface of the screen is far from smooth. Actually it feels a bit rough and the resistance, from when I move my fingers around the screen, hurts the skin under my fingernails. Hope it makes sense?
I have compared to the feeling from operating my iPad and phone and the Slate screen is far from that. It feels like touching a window glass in comparison. It's really not smooth at all.
I have followed the instructions and applied The revitalize spray several times and ended up using the hole bottle! But it doesn't seem to have any effect whatsoever. It is really strange.
Can anyone please help me understand, what I'm doing wrong?
Shouldn't I expect the screen to be as smooth as an iPad?
Is it possible to damage the screen somehow, so the touchscreen glass looses it's smoothness - and if so, is there a way to return the glass to it's original state?
For instance, is it common to change the upper glass, when it wears down over the years?
Also: The revitalizer came with 3 different types of cloths. The white one, a Grey with black dots and a small pink one. I'm not sure when I should use the gray and pink cloth - what the differences are?
I started wiping the screen with the gray cloth and really dig in, as it had some finger marks from previous use, that was hard to get rid of. I really hope that I didn't did anything wrong by cleaning the screen in that order?
Please tell me that there is a solution to this, as I won't be able to use the screen like it is now. It's really frustrating.
Thanks a lot in advance.
The best,
Peter
