After a year or so of trying out the various features we've come to realize a few things: We can't make use of the the overlay as it can't be resized, and the BC is too bulky for our needs. (we use another program that can create small buttons for the touch screen)
But your floating mixer shows a lot of promise. Current limits are the 4 character name and no color coding. So what we would like to see is: 1 - While you're limited to 4 characters, the space seems big enough for almost 8 characters. So can we move the 4 characters to the left (which should put the name right under the fader) and use the rest of the space to assign either the icons as in the larger mixer or perhaps a color icon to match PT? Or perhaps use the surface of the fader for those icons. Don't make the mixer bigger to accommodate those features. If anything it could be a tad smaller. Which brings us to....
2 - Can we get the entire floating mixer to resize (scaling?) in addition to the current horizontal adding of tracks? (we use it as a stationary mixer at the bottom of the screen with the PT EDIT window above it.- Our 2nd monitor contains the PT mixer resized smaller to allow enough room for various floating windows.) So being able to resize it just slightly smaller, could give us some additional editing screen space
3 - Since we use it at the bottom of the screen, can we hide the 'rack' but keep the floating mixer? Or create another 'page' (like the pan page) within the mixer to show the same items that are in the rack. Or (and I like this better) create a row of SMALL programmable buttons at the bottom or top (optional depending how and where you use the mixer) of the mixer the same size as the "Save Layout" button that can be named and color coded.
4 - the 2 finger swipe is great for moving 24 tracks at a time, but we would like the mixer to keep up with the one finger drag. If we drag half way across the screen, we would expect the mixer to keep up. Right now, I drag it 6 tracks but it only moves about 3 tracks.
5- And of course some better looking meters, a better way to deal with panning of stereo tracks and whatever other options you can cram in there will go a long way.
Thanks for all you do.

I've my own thing going on over here, obviously, but I love the idea of options. And I'm always interested in others workflow. It'd be great if there was more activity here on such things.
I hope everyone's well, under the circumstances.

Also - 6 - Can we get that SENDS mixer page on the floating mixer as well? Thanks,

1. This is HUI limitation so that is all RAVEN gets from PT. 2. Sure we can resize the floating mixer. 3. You can hide the rack and put the floating mixer button in the floating toolbars that pops up when the toolbars are hidden. 4. Lift your hand after each swipe and give PT enough time to bank. 5. HUI is limited on meters so this is why we "Cut Out" the meters in the RAVEN Internal Mixer ..

I'm asking can the 4 characters be moved to the left so that they're under the actual fader, and the rest of the space given to icons. (as it is now there's empty space on either side of the 4 character text) 2- Great- user adjustable scaling will give us some options. 3- Your tip for hiding the rack will work for now. Thanks. That floating toolbar could also be incorporated into a page within the floating mixer, because there's no other need for that floating toolbar and I have to keep swatting it out of my way. 4- I'm only swiping once. When viewing the floating mixer as 24 channels - I take one finger, put it on the last channel and drag to the left about 9 tracks, but the channel only moves about 3 tracks. So to get it to move the 9 tracks, I have to drag the entire width of the screen, or do like you say and lift and drag, lift and drag... It's a bit of a drag. 5 - Ok - Fine, Let's get HUI on the phone and get them into the 21st century. It's time for that protocol to get facelift anyway. Thanks.

Ahhh- I see- you're considering 'banking' for both functions of moving either 1 channel or 8 at a time. so to move 1 channel over 10 places with one finger either swiping 10 times or dragging really really slowly will take roughly 1 sec for each channel to move,(10 sec total) whereas banking 24 channels with 2 fingers is instant. I suppose that's a HUI limit as well? (I had an AVID C24 that went much faster moving 1 channel at a time- maybe because that was ethernet?) Ok- some great mind will figure a work around for this I'm sure.
So- back to getting icons into the floating mixer. Also need more icons- ability to create custom icons like maybe solid color icons. I still say move the 4 character text to the left and put the icon next to the name. But that's just me. Anywhere you can fit it in will be fine.
NEW QUIZ QUESTION I've asked this before, but I want to revisit it now that I have more info.
The button on the BC that says CLOSE PLUG IN / REOPEN PLUGIN works great. It does exactly what one would expect. I would like to use a gesture for this BUT OPT + COMMAD + W - Will close the Plugin, but it will NOT reopen the plugin CNTRL + OPT + COMMAD + W Will close ALL FLOATING windows and will reopen them all. NOT good if you have other floats. But that's not how the BC button works. It closes and reopens only the plugin window What kind of magic voodoo is going on here? How can I implement that button into a hand gesture? thanks

Thanks for that info. That explains a few things. I confirmed that the Bank 1 button does indeed work faster than finger dragging, but not as intuitive or fun. Need to implement those things into the touch screen as soon as the technology permits. thanks,
