(1) The red line doesn't match the overlay with Logic's mixer, even if I switch on the channel strip components 'name' and 'notes'. It's always a few pixels off. Naturally, I can adjust this manually, but it's a bit strange that it doesn't work out of the box.
(2) The second issue is more problematic: The names on the Raven mixer overlay channels do not match the Logic channel names. The actual faders correspond to the underlying track, but somehow Logic gives Raven the wrong names. It only happens with a few channels, not all. I guess it's an issue with the setup procedure, but I am using a fresh Logic project, set back Raven to factory defaults, and then start the Raven setup process. (I noticed that Raven adds a summing channel before the audio channels - is that expected behavior?)
>1. Logic doesn't have a "Standard" sizing so the Red Line may not be exactly where you will need to be aligned correct. So move the window to where it looks "Correct" for your system. I see you are showing MIDI FX, which shouldn't be >shown, but if you like using those, then just adjust for them by bring the Logic window down further.
>Once you have it looking correct, then just unlock and lock the screen set so it will align correctly when switching from Edit/Mix. You can also save a template of this alignment and on each new session import the screen sets that work for >your system.
O.k., good to know. That wasn't a real problem, anyway, just a bit confusing (as I was expecting the red line to be 'standardized').
>2. Raven should not add a summing channel, maybe that is causing the issue, it is possible the setup button isn't selecting the correct items in the Mixer since it is not setup for German version of Logic. Right now it really only supports >English, although we plan to have a German version in the future.
That would be helpful. I tried it again, and the script still adds a summing channel, and seems to do some background task that doesn't work (I can see the screen 'flashing' once, which indicates something was performed in the background that seems to not function properly). I would also suspect this is language related, as the script seems to be relying on the correct positioning of the options in the pull down menus.
>Do you have any other controllers setup in the preferences? or is v-Control the only controller?
I have a Komplete Kontrol keyboard, which is added as a Logic Control. This was set up after the V-Control, though, and seems to work in sync with the V-Control. (If I remember correctly, then I also tried it without the Komplete Kontrol, and I had the same issues.)
>If you add a new track will it force Raven to update the names??
>What if you change the names of the tracks that aren't syncing correctly??
Changing the track names forces Raven to update the names (and to also add mixer channels that seem to have magically disappeared), and then it works. So with some manual work, I can get it to function properly. However, this requires renaming quite a few track names every time I start a new session. So it would be very helpful if the bugs with the (German) version could be ironed out.
Thanks for your support!
