Hi!
I’ve been struggling with this BC 2.5 trial version for a coupe days now and it really gives me hard times. Let me explain:
I want a command that I can use to bounce MIDI to audio (Bounce/Render in place). Yes, there are that kind of commands already, but in my system more than 1 track bounces do not work and I wanted to do a script that is easy to modify for n MIDI/Instrument tracks.
Well, I create the command for one MIDI track, 12 lines total, and it works just fine in all songs. I save this masterpiece. Then I continue the process and create the command for 2 MIDI tracks. I start with a clean button and add there twice that previously created script. There are 24 lines of stuff, so every step is in there. Visual check: OK, the two parts are identical. I’ll give it a try. It starts just fine - but then for a reason that only the script knows it skips over lines 10 and 12. And the result is definitely not what I wanted it to be.
I tried all obvious stuff, added delays and empty lines, tested with different songs and different tracks, relaunched and rebooted and everything but nothing helps. Can you please try to explain what gives?
And as i started the whining, I can’t get the biggest part of those pre-programmed scripts to work. I have adjusted the screen as told and arranged the tracks as told, I have correct numbers of inserts and sends, everything should be just fine, but it is not. All other Slate products are just excellent so it’s a big disappointment that the first impression of this one is so bad.
(Just to mention, My system is MacPro/OSX 10.9.5 & ProTools 10.3.8 and I have used almost all Mac DAWs since day 1 back on 80’s, started with Quickeys on early 90’s and have recently created i.e. in Cubase tens of macros with Project logical editor and Macros. So I consider me to be no newbie anymore…)
BTW. When will the Ableton Live and Cubase versions of BC be released?
