pro tools - heal function?

Hi! Just got my MTI yesterday and excited and unused to it as of now but optimistic! Anyways, had a quick question about healing clips in pt11. In order to heal I usually just use command h - but when I try to do that in batch commander nothing happens (the key command doesn't register). I assume this has something to do with the fact that command h is standard os "hide" shortcut? If so, is there a way of going around it that doesn't rely on turning the hide shortcut off (since I ise it a lot during not logic/pt work)?

I also noticed the same problem happens with cancel (command period) where it doesn't  register the key command when trying to program it in bc - assume also related to command period  being an os shortcut?
