Hi, here I am with a new question… I would like to create an aux track with a plugin inserted, I know that it's a really basical thing for the BC skilled users but for me it's quite a challenge. I did the command as in the attachment but after the insertion of the plug in the restore previous tracks doesn't work and the cursor stay on little windows named track on the top of the plugin guy. where I'm wrong? ( writing in english for sure ) Attachments:

( writing in english for sure ) You will need to add "Close Open Windows" shortcut. "CNTRL,CMND,OPT,W" before restoring previous. Since all windows have to be closed for the mouse to find the Fader Focus window. hope this helps peace Jamey Z

thank you but no way, even with"CNTRL,CMND,OPT,W" doesn't work.. with keyboard focus set on clips or edit window the restore works but the command doesn't insert the plug, with the keyboard focus set on groups works the insertion but not the restore...

Maybe you need more delay time. Here is a step by step video I made to add plug ins. You should be able to just follow these codes. Or use this BC I just made, it is working for me. PT10 doesn't have a Restore Previous that was a new addition for PT11. So you need to use "Show All tracks". I am gonna take the restore out of the PT10 batch commanders.. thanks for finding this. peace Jamey Z

I'm in PT 11 ( not raven but I guess isn't the problem ) anyway both restore and show all tracks have the same problem. I will try with more delay and with the BC you made. thank you very very much for your support Cheers from Italy

Also make sure you are on PT 11.2.1 or 2.2 there was a couple weird key typing bugs in earlier 11 releases..

I'm on PT 11.2.1 didn't realized that an upgrade were available because using the "check for updates" in PT always said " your pro tools is updated " thanks for this news too just checked in my products in my avid account and the installer is in it... so bugs in check for updates too

Actually it could be your keyboard preferences. What is your pro tools and system prefs language set to??
The batch commands for fader focusing are for english keyboard. But you should be able to use "Show Custom Tracks" to type in your own fader focus presets in any language.
1. Show Custom Tracks 2. Hide 3. Cursor Right 4. Aux Tracks 5. Return
and your done

got PT in english and system in italian I will try to disable shortcuts of keyboard as avid explain in the optimization osx for PT, anyway no luck with more delay nor with your BC nor with your last trick, I don't have in the quick list a simple Aux Tracks command, all of them are linked to other options
until now the only option I have is to restore tracks manually

You would need to type in "Aux Tracks" with the keyboard for the menu item to pull up when using "Show Selected Tracks" I have a feeling it is just your keyboard settings.

I would be interested in seeing why it doesn't work as I have yet to meet a computer that couldn't do it.

Hi jameyz, all works well now. the problem was that I have to insert "option+command+w" instead "control+option+command+w"

Very interesting.. Well here is another way to close all windows. This is an XML script for the menu items instead of a key command.. HIDE ALL FLOATING WINDOWS.ravbc (315 B) This one will go in the next update for sure.. peace
