Logic users beware Some of the basic features just don't work Such as pan and insert These are apparently known bugs which I find disappointing as there is no mention on the website The batch commands also don't do everything that the pro tools software does but I can live with waiting for that a little longer Spending over £2000 on an interface that doesn't link the most basic functions doesn't feel great from a customer perspective so I am really disappointed I am sure one day this will be fantastic but I don't think it should be sold without disclosing the shortcomings

Sorry about your disappointment. I guess there was some miscommunication on what Raven Logic could do when you were sold it. I was just happy that we got Logic for free as early adopters, as future Raven users will have to pay for the different apps. I know that Raven will be able to control sends in the next update, I think inserts are out of the question since Logic has a weird way of apply plugs and pans too. But, I think the pans are really touch friendly in logic. We have a logic BCS update coming out next month that is gonna rock. Hundreds of BC's that are gonna save a lot of time and hassle with logic. I do have a couple tricks that will really help out with adding plug ins and buses and stuff in logic so stay tuned..

Thanks and that's good news of more bcs are coming I do think the website and documentation owe it to customers to make the differences between builds of protools and logic x crystal clear- it's really not that obvious and customers need to know this before they pay for the unit Even your demo on YouTube suggests that pan and inserts are part of the logic build but you now seem to be saying that not only are they not but are unlikely to be in the future . I don't think it's a great answer to say that the pan controls in logic are touch friendly as presumably part of the ravens attraction is that it makes things in logic more accessible and simple rather than tell you that the existing features are good ? I would have thought that useability of pan and insert features are very basic expectations of customers within raven Thanks Mark

It seems I wasn't very clear in my post.
I didn't mean to say that these features where out of the question forever.
I meant they were out of the question for the build coming out next month. I'm sure pan will be there soon as well as insert's. (I am already trying to figure out a way)
I definitely agree with you about the marketing aspects and think your input is important.
I bought my first Raven knowing it would continually get better and I think that is what makes the platform of the touch controller so cool. Raven is gonna be outta control once all the things on the list get finished.

Hey jameyz Bought yesterday the MTi for use w logic x
2 main problems as of now:
It freezes every few minutes, which requires full cycle reboot, and the Insert is not doing anything.
I had tech support get into my computer remotly and install everything new, go through all the settings etc.
Maybe you can tell me what to do...?

Are you on Raven 2.0.3?? Mavericks? Its possible you don't have the newest build which is meant to come out in a week or so. I get full multi touch sends and here is a pic showing inserts. Tech support will get you up and running soon I bet. What language are you set too??

Hey- Im on 10.8.5 and Raven 2.0.3 Matt from techsupp installed 2.0.2 on mine today as an attempt to diagnose.
However i am getting pan and insrt. to work but still the Raven freezes on me every few minutes and needs reboot...
I do not have the Mackie control. Is that something i should have? From Matt i understood that i should not have ny conflicting control surface elements in that window...

What will the mixer look like for logic pro x with the raven 2.0 software? Did you make a new one like that of Pro Tools 11?

Hi Outcastrising, The Mixer that is in RAVEN 2.0 for Logic Pro X looks the same as the Pro Tools External RAVEN mixer.

Try deleting the current controller and restart, it should ask u to add a new controller when u relaunch.. Also make sure it is selected/highlighted in the controller prefs

Hey Musicmanneo, VMR works in all Major DAWS, you do need an ilok. However being that all users don't have an ilok we will send you one if you need. Kind Regards,

hi, for some reason I can't get the Raven software to work with Logic on My Macbook Pro. My MTI works fine as a touch screen, but as soon as I start the Raven software, Logic virtually freezes. I get the spinning multicolored wheel of death. There is fader response but anything related to transport controls only reacts after 20-30 seconds. As if the processor is crippled by the software, which is it isn't. The only thing I can do is force quit the Raven software and then force quit Logic. The newest Raven Software update did nothing to remedy this. My system: Macbook Pro 2.6 Ghz Intel Core i& 16 GB RAM video card: Intel Iris Pro OSX 10.9.4 Logic Pro 10.0.7 Please help. Hi All, I received my Raven MTi yesterday and had a beach ball every time I initiated an action on the Raven MTi (play and stop reacted with 5 seconds delay, etc.). Spent about 30 minutes of re-installing, removing other control surface setups one by one and in the end it was Logic Remote that needed to be deleted from the Control Surface setup to make the MTi work properly. Just FYI to avoid one mistake I made: I had assumed that Neyrinck would have the very latest NeyFi version on their website so I had installed that one before I started the installation process for the Raven, but the one that comes with the Raven is a 1.9 opposed to a 1.8 on the Neyrinck site. So using the version that came with the Raven installation package is the correct approach. Looking forward to having a long learning session with the MTi today ? Have a great Sunday MiBrue Hamburg, Germany

Glad you got it working...
Logic remote will override the Ney FI so needs to be deleted.. There is also a message that pops up to ask if u want to add a controller.. Click yes to add V control 24..
Looking forward to see what you come up with on Raven..
Peace.
