The largest most expensive problem facing me at the moment is a central monitoring system for Dolby Atmos. The software solution that Dolby without a Dolby Atmos Home RMU does not include Bass management. The hardware Home RMU which does is approximately $10 k. Then, to feed it, a MADI box like the MTRX with analog cards... another 10 k. i own a Tascam DSM-7.1 that does bass management as well as home satellite surround system emulation. But what about the overheads (7.1.2 or 9.1)?
In a Cinematic mix with full frequency monitors + LFE , I can work around this so what I am leading up to is,
with a batch command am I able to control a secondary master buss, ( ie dim by a preset amount, cut) im pretty sure I can solo or mute the individual channels feeding it with individual batch buttons from the iPad.... But can I use a mouse command to dim ( lets say by 15 dB) and restore to unity listening level of the secondary monitoring master buss?

Is this for listening or will you be mixing at the same time?

Protools 2018 It would be used for mixing. Buss out to individual speaker outs controlled by a secondary master That way you could put an eq on each speaker out for fine adjustments for problematic acoustic standing waves, solo and mute in a group. About the batch command thing, is the dim thing possible?

Sorry for repeating the question, but I am not sure if I was clear enough. Is it possible using a mouse click record to reduce a Master channels level and with another restore it?

Is it possible using a mouse click record to reduce a Master channels level and with another restore it? Bill yes, I could see that being programmed with the recording mouse click feature. Just record a click that open the master output window or use a Windows Configurations to open this window. Then Record a click that doubles clicks the volume numbers and type in the desired number.
