Hi there,
Just getting to grips with my new MTI and loving it.
I'm trying to replicate a couple of BC's I used to do with Quickeys.
I had 2 shortcuts that are really important to my workflow.
1. Put automation into preview. 2. Punch preview, write to selection and then ok the annoying warning popup menu.
There seem to be BC's for all these functions in the MTI but I'm having trouble getting them to work.
If I use the BC for Preview it leaves the preview window open which is ok, but when I run the BC I've made to punch preview, write to selection and return (to close the window) the mouse shoots off away from the preview window and the buttons don't get pressed.
Any help gratefully received thanks.
Also is there any way to manually edit existing BC's to remove or add stuff to them? Some of them don't quite do what I'd like.

Must have the automation window open for those to click the window. Everything on layout 5 is programmed for automation. Add a delay time inbetween closing the window. Also the automation window needs to be in front of any other plug ins "the red dot should appear" or else it will click whatever window is up front. Adding a "CMND 4" will bring the automaton window back to the front.
peace
we are adding a function to edit quick list that will be out hopefully in the next update. (as well as the "search function" that was just added to Batch Commander) But every Quicklist has broken up parts so they can be reconstructed.
I do have a roundabout way to edit them.
PM me your skype info I can set you up to edit them if you like..

Thanks Jamey, I have my EQ plugin open too so I guess that will be the front window. I'll try again.
A couple of others if you don't mind: Is there a way to pull up the window of the first plugin of a selected track in the edit window?
Aaaand in my continuing efforts to get the Pan window open on a BC on my selected track, is there a way to send the track you have your cursor in to the top of the edit window? I can do it by cntrl/shift clicking the name, any other way?
Thanks again

We are working on bringing the "plug Bot" from the external mixer into the regular PT mixer. This will give you the ability to launch plugs from that blue "INS" button from the External mixer, in the PT mixer now. We have been trying to get the pan open with HUI so give us a little while for that.
Can't bring the selected to the top since it would depend on how many tracks you have in your session
for the Automation stuff, maybe adding a "CMND 4" before "Preview" and After would always bring it to the front so if you had an eq open it would still work.

Cool Jamey,
I got the automation write to work how I need it. It was just the cmd4 at the top to pull it forward, nice. Thanks for the help on that one.
I'll check out keyboard maestro too.
Anything that would pull up the pan window in both mix and edit would be amazing. I have to do that literally hundreds of times a day.
Thanks Man,
Martin

Just realized that the surroundsound tracks are going to be wider than regular stereo tracks so we will have to create a new keyboard Maestro for surround tracks. I will give it a try and send a video later with some files to download.
Also in the edit window the width changes..
So
Which panner are you usually using 5.1? 7.1?? It look like it would need to be a different Button for each track type.. i.e "open 7.1 panner", or "open Stereo Panner"

There are no panners on 5.1 tracks in PT. Not unless you use something like Spanner. So that solves that problem. :-)
I only use panners on stereo and mono tracks, which are the same width. I work in 5.1 mostly.
I tried using keyboard maestro to do some mouse clicks, but I couldn't get it to trigger a Maestro shortcut from within a Raven BC. It does allow really cool keyboard scrolling in PT though, something which has always bugged me, nice.
Thanks Jamey. Looking forward to see what you come up with.
