This DP Carbon Fiber Theme is looking pretty good with the Raven... I changed the counter readouts to blue instead of green. "Nine" and "None So Black" themes also look good... Thanks the 3.5 update "feels" much better. Quicker to react and follow touch in DP tracks. Questions: Why will some DP windows float over big Raven and others not? Channel strip floats, SE window and Mixer does not. Is this a DP issue? Also on the images boxes on the bottom of the big Raven I found making color jpg's to match the DP track colors is visually helpful for grouping instruments ala PT color channel scheme. Though not integrated and automatic it helps. I think it would be a helpful integration if the floating mixer would mimic the DP track colors in the black space at bottom of the Floating Mixer channel strip. Why does the mixer channel in DP not highlight when the Raven Channel strip is selected? Again this is probably some incompatibility with dynamic gui in DP. But it seems if it can follow in the Track overview and SE window it should be able to follow in the Mixer window. Those windows are vertically dynamic. Is it the horizontal dynamic layout that does not follow? Having the channel strip float is opening some better layout possibilities with the dual Ravens. I know the Raven team had to catch up on PT and the other DAW's. I'm REALLY hoping to see some DP "LOVE" on the next update. But for now there are some nice features that can be incorporated in DP. Everything sure feels "snappier" Attachments:

It will be nice to get a unified look. Hopefully we can get some closer integration in this next round of upgrade. I'm really digging the feel of 3.5. It was a good step forward. The gesture in 3.3 had some bling. This 3.5 upgrade has some some beef... I have no idea where MOTU is in this but they could do so much with their gui to integrate with the Raven... If I had any pull with MOTU I would ask them to do a special version for the Raven. PT and PreSonus are integrating HW and touch screen for their DAW's. MOTU should take note and keep in the game. wdyt?

It was pretty easy to make color swatches for the Custom icons. Use Grab Utility. Apple Shift A for select. Select Copy the color wanted. Save selection to desktop as jpg. Double click jpg to open in preview. Select area to crop. Change size to it 50 x 50 pixels. Import to Raven Custom Icon folder. I would love to see an automatic color on the floating mixer background to the name or at top of channel strip. Also DP channel color at the top of the channel strip...

Double click jpg to open in preview. Select area to crop. Apple "K" to crop. Change size to it 50 x 50 pixels. Import to Raven Custom Icon folder. I would love to see an automatic color on the floating mixer right below the name. Also DP color at the top of the channel strip... Somebody from MOTU and Slate throw a party and fix it. I'll buy the food and beverages... Attachments:

I’d love it if you guys just lost the faux reflection/glare that’s overlayed on the track icons. Being a designer I can make great looking icons but I’m almost gonna have to make them ugly to stand out!! Jamey if you guys do this I’ll crank you a nice set of icons fo cheap!! Lol.

That would be helpful... If you could please add a color swatch that follows the DP layout along with the icons from limited wave. It would be a major upgrade if the floating mixer could be sized to the DP mixer.

No DP updates going on yet. I think we would have to get color info from V-Control Pro in order to implement that. Or we would have to do the full design of the RAVEN Internal Mixer.

Hey Jameyz... I got a new studio and moved all my stuff. Things went well until I noticed faders were not working on either floating or main Raven mixer. It finally worked after a factory reset. Erasing and putting in new controller. But still the faders were controlling the pan. Finally did the process again and it worked as normal. What is going on when the faders control pan. Thanks Greg

Thanks Greg That used to happen if you exit from Sends mode without switching back, there was some weird way of getting it stuck like this. But the latest RAVEN 3.5.2 version should have fixed this. Try swapping back from Sends mode to RAVEN External Mixer and see if you can get it back.

Hey Jameyz... hope you hare having a good labor day weekend.
After 3.52 I'm being asked to run UPPD configure after most startups. Also initial Raven startup does not retain the layout. I am having to reload the Ravlay. I have saved and designated as USER... do I need to do a reinstall or something.?

After 3.52 I'm being asked to run UPPD configure after most startups. Also initial Raven startup does not retain the layout. I am having to reload the Ravlay. I have saved and designated as USER... do I need to do a reinstall or something.? Click the Hand Icon in the menu bar and press "Configure". This will run through a setup screen, where you will need to "TOUCH" the X on the touch screen monitors, and "CLICK" the X on the screen that doesn't have touch. Be sure to press "Save Layout" then overwrite the current layout so the changes are saved. Then press "Save Raven Session" to save the RAVLAY. Check out this article on the steps to set the user default layout and save layouts. slatemt.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001645327Here are the steps in the quick start video.. youtu.be/YiZBW1UEBVk?t=25m43s
