Hello... I'm seriously considering buying a MTi2 but wanted to make sure my system can handle it? My specs: MacBook Pro (17-inch, Early 2011) Model ID 8,3 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7 16 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 AMD Radeon HD 6750M 1024 MB One Thunderbolt (1st Gen) Port 3 USB 2.0 Ports Ethernet and FW 800 ports ExpressCard 3/4 port What I'd like to do is use an MTi2 as my main display monitor while simultaneously still using my current LG 32" HDMI LCD TV as a secondary display monitor (non-mirrored) for extra screen space. Ideally I'd like to be able to view one arrangement window and one mixer window (in LPX) at the same time and then swap the windows back and forth between the two display monitors as needed. At any rate, can I buy a Thunderbolt dock (like say an Elgato Thunderbolt 2 Dock or similar) and make this screen arrangement work? I realize my MBP only has the 1st Gen Thunderbolt port but is this screen arrangement doable? Also I could run my MBP in closed clamshell mode if needed to free up some GPU. Thanks for your help! Regards... Todd

I have a early Macbook pro 15" and can use the MT2 as the main display and the macbook as a secondary display. It is required to setup the MTi2 as the Main display no matter what. Don't know about the close clam shell.

Thunderbolt HUB will only work to get you a HDMI input. With it you can drive a HDMI and a Thunderbolt display, but since you have 2 HDMI screens I don't think it is possible. If you bought a thunderbolt capable display it would work with the HUB.
