Hi!
I saw a demo of Batch Commander at AES and was extremely impressed to say the least. I bought it immediately but am having trouble figuring out where a couple of the presets I need are located within the batch commander menus. Perhaps they only existed on the demo computer at AES?
BC can be a huge timesaver for me once I finish a mix.. if I can get these type of shortcuts working.. Here is what I need:
1. Bounce Mix Variations: This would copy the session name>Select from the first to the last marker>Bounce as 24bit 44.1 khz wav interleaved, paste the name into the save dialogue and append " FULL MIX"... then it would repeat the process but would bounce the INST, ACAPELLA, Vocal Up .5db, and TV Tracks.. each new bounce would have the appropriate appending info added.. so the instrumental would be " INST MIX", the Acapella would be " ACAP MIX", the TV would be " TV MIX" and Vocal up version would be " FULL MIX Vox Up .5db". Is there a preset that exists to do something like this already? What dod I need to do to create this? or modify an existing one? At AES the demo station had a preset which used the groups with specific naming to do this basic idea.. but I don't know where such a preset might exist already.
2. Bounce Stems:I need to be able to bounce grouped stems for performances.. i.e. a typical session would be:
- Click
- Kick
- Snare
- Remaining Drums
- Perc
- Bass
- Guitars
- Keys
- Featured Instruments (synths , leads etc)
- Lead Vox
- Double Vox
- Background Vox 1
- Background Vox 2
- Background Vox 3
Is there a preset that exists or that I could modify to do this? If so, how? Do I use the groups function and set specific names that the script will look for?
3. Export raw tracks: Occasionally I will need to export tracks for another mixer or producer.. in those cases I want to consolidate and export all tracks individually without any processing on them as 24bit, 44.1k, Interleaved WAV files which have the same name as the track they were an export of.. does this exist? I though that the "Name Print Stems" button does this.. but I looked at the script and I have no clue what is going on.. so Im not sure.
Thanks in advance for any guidance or assistance you can give in helping me figure this out or help me create the workflow. Can't wait to have this take over my bouncing duties!
