Hi all,
New to Raven .... just received my unit last week. I believe I got it all set up but I'm in that confusing/learning new things time period.
My system had some issues which forced me to update to El Capitan, I'm wondering if there is a list of issues/bugs that I might expect with Raven. So I don't pull my hair out trying to get something to work, which I just need to wait for a software update for.
Thanks in advance.
Alan

Should work fine with El Capitan, I think the quick setup button I busted in 10.11 though.. Which Bugs are you seeing?? Nothing big yet - like I said, I'm just getting started. I just didn't want to waste time if I came across one trying to get it resolved if it was something that was a compatibility issue. Hopefully that makes some sense. I did notice something the other day - I was zooming with the CMD button and two finger swipe (which I really liked) and then yesterday it didn't seem to work - kept grabbing a patch like I wanted to move it. I'll be working on it again tomorrow for a few hours, so I will see if I can figure out what I was doing wrong.

I believe it should be "option" and 2 finger for zoom, and 2 finger left right without modifier for scrolling.
There is one more issue with El Capitan that will be fix and out in about 2 weeks.
If you have a large session and use the external or floating mixer with fine faders you will notice some latency.. If this happens to you, hit up support and we can get you a captain friendly update ...

I finished mixing a song yesterday and things are going fairly well. I had to reboot and the 2 finger zoom/scroll started working again. I guess something got wonky when I put the system to "sleep" when I had to take a break. Reboot fixed it.
The mis-aligning of the internal mixer is so distracting that I've switched to the raven mixer - which takes a bit to get used to, but by the end of the session I was breezing along with it. I wish it was easier to apply plugins with the raven mixer ... that scrolling takes forever. Right now I'm adding plugins on the inspector window located to the left of the arrange screen. I can only add one track at a time that way though. Will the copy plugins X5 work on the raven mixer?
It would be really nice if the raven mixer would color code the tracks to follow the coloring in the arrange window - would be a nice feature to really help make using the external mixer feel more seamless.
I'm still getting used to the system and finding little things here and there - overall, very pleased - you guys have made a very well put together system here. I am really looking forward to getting more familiar and used to it.
I have a song that is going to require a lot of editing (they couldn't keep the tempo with the click, so I have to push/pull everything into time) in the next week or so, that should really put it through the paces. If I have questions or find other quirks, I'll let you know. Thanks!

Jameyz - it's fine when it first opens - I can get it aligned initially ... the problem happens when I start to scroll / bank right or left. It becomes un-aligned. The master on the far right always throws it off kilter, then it's all off till I bank all the way left ... and even then, maybe 20% of the time it stays un-aligned. I watched the video about setting groups to the faders for hiding/visible toggles ... but I use groups for other things in the mix, so that really wouldn't work for me. I read somewhere that the master fader was a known problem and that it wasn't something that would be resolved ... since I felt like that was the root of my alignment issue - I just switched to the raven external mixer and started trying to get used to that. Again, an update to allow the raven external mixer channels to pull in the color assigned from the arrange window would be awesome.
I did remember one other thing - Every time I boot I get a window that comes up that is the UPDD (if I'm remembering the letters properly) config ... I've just been closing it, but I wanted to check and see if that is supposed to keep opening on boot? and if there was a setting or something to get it to not open every boot if possible.

The Banking in the logic internal mixer does use a mouse scroll, I think I know what you are talking about, after each bank the fader on the left gets smaller, I suppose with large track counts the external will be the way to go. Perhaps you can email me a video of this issue, so I can diagnose easier.
