Hi, i m the proud owner of a MTI2 im in argentina, so send the item back is not an option
after 2 weeks of using the raven I started to notice a humidity problem in the screen that grown and stay there for about two hours
i contacted CS and they told me they will fix it (or look at it) no problem, but i have to send the unit
the problem was im 13000km from slate...so sending the item is more expensive than the actual item
we managed the situation and i have some plugins now
this is NOT a complain about the plugins or the raven
i just wanna know if i can do something about the humidity is there any standar sealing procedure? can i do something about it (at my cost obviosuly)
thanks
Juan

I've had 2 Ravens and they have both done this, I think it is a design flaw. Mine happen on both sides about 5cm from the top. This is more noticeable when the studio is cold and then gets hot

I guess you will need to send it back. Or get a de humidifier?? I have never seen this issue first hand.. Although I have seen another user who had it, but it went away.

This may sound a little weird, but I would get a plastic box with a fitted lid large enough to fit the Raven with the lid closed. Fill the box with rice, with just enough space left over to allow the Raven to fit (the more rice the better). Set the Raven ON TOP of the rice, and close the lid. Seal the lid openings with tape so the Raven and rice are closed in, air tight. Leave the Raven in the box for at least a couple days.
The rice acts as a desiccant, or water absorber. This is why people recommend throwing a cell phone into a bag of rice after they drop it into water accidentally. The rice absorbs the moisture in the air around it, and it can pull moisture out of electronics to a certain degree too. It saved my phone!! Try it, and let us know if it works!

Hi Juan
Unfortunately with humidity like that I would say that you might have an even bigger problem if you try to seal it. It won't fully stop the moisture getting in and it will make it much more difficult for it to get out. We've had these kinds of issues with Apple monitors in the past (which are very tightly sealed but still had that problem and it could take days/weeks to get the moisture out of them if we didn't take them apart). It's not just something with the Ravens.
If you have that much humidity happening inside your raven I would also suggest getting a dehumidifier because it also can't be good for _any_ of your music gear in that room, other electronics, guitars/wood instruments, etc. In our case the rooms that had the moisture problems also often have computers and other electronics that we had to take out of there when they died and they literally had rust and other moisture related corrosion inside of them. A dehumidifier is a small investment to protect the rest of your gear!
