Can't seem to do that on the Raven mixing console. Is it possible through the mixer on the Raven? Thanks, Mike

Hiding tracks is easier in just DP... I made a batch command for it but it was still easier to touch dp on the Raven screen or use the mouse... No there is not a direct way from the Raven that I have found to arm/disarm automation. The workaround I use for arming automation is to use the floating mixer and the DP mixer with the faders option unchecked. I've found I can hit the button on the DP mixer. The other way is using the channel strip and I use a batch command button to show hide the channel strip. I have the channel strip in the top right of the screen at all times. It floats over anything. When you touch the Raven floating mixer it shows that channel in the channel strip. It's big enough to turn on and off automation. However, it's only one track at a time. If DP would break out the automation from the rest of its mixer (solo mute rec) and have it float that could be used with the big Raven mixer and that would be nice if the channel strips were sized the same. One of the companies needs to change the size of its channel strips. Either Raven get skinny or MOTU DP gets wider. Then the channels would line up. If they would add the color bar to the top of the DP mixer it would be a major improvement for me. The ergonomics of different size channel strips slow me down. I think it needs to be motu making the change since Raven is based on 24 channels across the screen. DP crams 31 into a screen on its narrow setting and just under 21 on its full setting. So annoying. I've been beating this drum for a few years now and seems to fall on deaf ears... After a few weeks of using the different size mixers, you get used to the ratio difference but it's always a slow down to make sure you are opening the correct track. I jump between channel strip or dp mixer place above the floating mixer. see some pics in my other post for reference slate.boards.net/attachment/download/1257

I will ask V-Control Pro to take a look at the Automation status again. It would be nice to have that in the RAVEN External Mixer but from what I was told DP has too many automation options and they don't all send through Mackie Control.

Good tips over there Wax. Personally, i would NOT want the Raven faders skinnier. But I WOULD VERY MUCH like DP to give us more size options. Hoping for stuff like that at Namm.

Ask and you shall receive!!! I am sooooooo happy. Changes everything. Whether i am at the 24" screen above the Raven, or at writing stations 43". Changes EVERYTHING!!!

Hi, I found this old(er) thread and wondered if Raven 3.9 supports enabling/disabling read/write automation for DP 11.3. It is mentioned in the Raven for DP manual but I can't find it.
If it's not available, I wonder if it's planned for Raven 4.0. This is an important feature to be able to stay on the Raven mixer. I saw something about the challenge being all the different DP automation modes. For my purposes I just use latch 99% of the time.
Thanks,-Vincent
