I realize that I'd need a thunderbolt to DVI adapter to run with a MacBookpro at all. But will that work daisy chained to my existing Thunderbolt monitor? And additionally....I currently have my Apollo and UAD satellite plugged into the extension ports on the monitor. All working swimmingly. Anybody have real world experience with a similar set up? If not, in best guesses?

I have a MacBook Pro. Using thunderbolt to my Apple thunderbolt monitor. Thunderbolt from the monitor to an external disk, and thunderbolt from the disk to my Avid HD native. I have thunderbolt to DVI for my Raven MTi. And also one more additional monitor connected to HDMI. And it's working greaaaaaat!

So to be clear - your chain to the Raven is : Macbook - > TB Monitor->Disk drive->Avid HD->Raven
All daisy chained via Thunderbolt?

MacBook -> Raven using TB2DVI
The other connections:
MacBook -> TB Monitor -> Disk drive -> Avid HD using TB
MacBook -> other monitor using HDMI

Hi Beethree, Have you considered using a thunderbolt expansion hub? I know Belkin makes some.
Kind Regards,

Yes, I am into looking into that, but it seems like the overall bandwidth would be the same as daisy chaining the Raven from the TB monitor. Would love to hear from someone that has done that - but I guess I can always try it and find out. Would also consider ditching the TB monitor. Decisions, decisions.....

...., also beethree RE; Alternative connections for the Raven ,
..., not sure if you have a HDMI port as you can connect to the Raven via HDMI also ..., I bought this DVI to HDMI cable (no adaptors , its a quality one piece cable) Premium 10 FT.
HDMI to DVI Male 24+1 (Gator Cable) - V1.4 3D 1080P HDTV HD Monitor ; ........., from Gator Cable in the USA ( they have an online ebay store also)
