I agree with every word you say gravityJim, total waste of time, they're only interested in selling and getting in the cash, they won't be getting any more of mine, I've given up looking every day, they said it will show updates automatically on batch commander but I won't use it until it is stable so I have to check on line. Iv'e been in the business 30 plus years and never had anything that unreliable since Adats.

Everyone at Slate is a musician and an engineer just like you and we are all in this to push the boundaries of Audio Production and change the paradigm, not for the cash...

As a very early adopter of the MTi2 and Raven 3 software, I don't think that anyone at Slate is trying to rip us off. On the other hand, I do wish you had waited until the unit did everything it was supposed to do prior to release.

Hey gravity Jim I feel ur greef !! After ordering and getting on this forums I dreaded , problems with the mti From not get my authorization , to calibration , and many other topics I've seen But the inertial set up was reasonable every went right 1st try as far as Instal , I ran into a few I *thought bugs* Faders was not responsesive on launching logic the 1st three time then realized I had 4 iPads remotes in my set up delete them and I was on. Next I lost scroll but realised I clicked hold tap in upd right befor ,unchecked it and was back goin. I then came to the fine faders issues agin thinking it was a "el capitan bugg" I Ignored it then a few days ago ,I shut down alot of start up apps I Had goin on And now magically fine fades and my buss faders are Allin working order There's still a custom lay outs bugg I'm seeing, scrolling faders& the fx bugg But the update should fix thows ,now to the update THOE:-( Over thanks giving weekend 2015 I called slate direct to ask when the mti2 would be El Capitan ready n was told it should run fairly well as is(results I'm getting)but the update was due befor or after Christmas so I ordered my mti 1stvweek of December ,got it 1st week of February and I'm not understanding this update process my self the *product is AWSOME in my use In studio and controlling my Mac with touch, but I've built two apps and have bought/downloaded plenty of iPad touch app to control logic that's been updated repeatedly in my wait for my mti2 and still the El Capitan update is a now show ,as a app builder & consumer its insane to me .. But hey I'm Locked in for the ride!

We are not the only company still battling the changes Apple made in the new OSX, but the 3.0.4 update will fix a lot of these. I just sent you a PM so check your messages..

Greetings folks, first post from me, here as I have been lurking on this thread for a while. At the moment there is a three horse race going on. My mti2 is winging it's way from Germany, a HDMI to Thunderbolt adapter is on on it's way from the UK (Why Apple could not put one on the iMac at the price of the things is beyond me)and the Slate elves are racing to get the Raven update out. Hopefully they will all arrive in the middle of nowhere Ireland next week in the right order for a painless installation.

If so I will get you the Beta release so things will work for your system.

In the beta version I installed, the graphic look of the Raven mixer is different, there are no pan knobs, no meters, and the Solo/Mute/Etc. buttons have turned into numbered buttons that are linked across all channels (press 2 on channel 1 and they all change to 2). Is this the behavior I should be seeing? Just checking....

That sounds like it was in "Sends View" Maybe try hitting "restore factory default" Here is what my DP looks like..

"Sends View" (which I haven't used, so I didn't recognize it) would explain the linked numbered buttons, wouldn't it? t figured something was whack. I'll give it another try with the Restoration thing. Thanks!

Jamey - I cleaned everything out and reinstalled the beta. Working as expected. Fine Faders don't crash the Raven.

I'll second what Jim said on at least 1 front. I realize that I'm on the bleeding edge, because I had installed El Capitan before I had contemplated a Raven purchase. Based on what I discussed with a very nice guy from slate at AES NY, I went ahead and jumped. He thought there should be few bugs with the newer OS. It has upped my studio's feel, even though I agree, I can't mix here either. I'm on DP 9.02. Fine faders do crash the Raven. Also, look at the following image which shows the floating mix, and to its left the status of faders in DP. DP's faders are correct, and the floating mixer is not reflecting the settings. Also can't grab the faders and get and change, even bringing them to -infinity does nothing. Also pan knobs are not working. Etc. I like the unit, but it would be good to stabilize operation. Sound like a HUI issue, I would try switching back and forth between "Sends" view and see if that snaps the faders in. Or else, you may have to restart V-Control and Raven. Just send you a PM also..

Well the Raven arrived, no registration card, no cleaning cloth or revitalising fluid...Awaiting customer support response. So far not so good, though it looks very pretty. Initial set up went okay, though it took a while to work over HDMI, used VGA to make sure the thing was working, then switched back to HDMI and it woke up. Now passing time waiting on customer support.
