Not sure if this is the right place for this subject as there is no V-Control Pro sub-forum. I was looking at my V-Control menu options (just checking things out) and one of the items is License. So I clicked on it and a dialog pops that says Not Licensed and a button underneath says get license. When I click on it a web page pops and a V-Control license is one of the items available and it's $50 a year as an iLok2 item. So, what I'm asking is this. 1: Do I need V-Control Pro 2? (It seems to be working as my MTi2's seem to function) 3: From my attempt to license it, I was taken to my iLok account, where I didn't have a V-Control license. Do I need to purchase one and install it on my iLok? 3: If I need it for my MTi's to function why do I have to maintain a recurring license purchase? 4: My understanding regarding V-Control Pro 2 is that it's mainly for use with iPhones, iPads, and other controllers, not necessarily for Raven.
This next question is for the Raven Console. For some reason I cannot load a changed setup. I have re-arranged some of the controls and saved the layout to a new one (three or 4 times and with different layouts). For some reason after I restart Raven (for whatever reason) it always comes back with the factory default and non of the layouts will load, no matter what button I choose or if I load a new saved layout from the file dialog. What might I be doing wrong here?
Pro Tools 12.4, OSX 10.10.5 Mac Pro trashcan, dual Raven MTi2's. I have my iLok2 back in my USB 3.0 port because it doesn't function properly on a USB 2.0 hub.

As long as you have a Raven Ilok license than you do not need a v-control license. Occasionally I have seen a pop up from v-control asking for a license, but I believe this is just a bug. When saving a layout, be sure to press "Save Layout" and choose a number. Then press "Save Raven Session" or press "settings" and choose "Save As." and rename the layout. peace

Hi Arkay99, 1. You do not need a V-Control Pro 2 License. 2. In order to save you own layout as a default you must hit Settings->Set as Default Layout. - youtu.be/YiZBW1UEBVk?t=1512- youtu.be/YiZBW1UEBVk?t=1544Let me know if you have any other questions. Arkay99 or anyone new that has encountered this...Goto settings in Batch Commander. Click the load BC session. You will be directed to where your BC user preset is stored. After opening it, go back into settings, make it your user default.

do i need to buy v control it didnt install with mti2 It installs automatically. Check your applications folder, else re-install the Raven.. Be advised that this version of V-Control Pro is un-licensed since V-control Pro doesn't need a license to work with Raven.
