I have discovered a weird issue with saving my own .ravlay button config's, etc. After making some button layout changes and changes to existing BC's, I so to settings, save as, and give it a new name i.e. "my.ravlay" as an example. The problem is when I launch the new .ravlay Raven after opening PT12, the buttons appear for a second and then just go away! If I go into applications and launch the main Raven MTi application, it loads just fine and then I can go into settings and do a "load Raven session" it will then launch the setting changes I had made. Is this WAD (working as designed) for the 3.0 Raven load, or am I doing something wrong? I've tried saving under different names, with no punctuation marks like apostrophe's, etc., I've tried saving to the applications folder instead of the desktop and it just doesn't matter, when I launch the .ravlay I've saved the buttons appear for a second or so and then just disappear!! I've even re-installed Control Pro. Any help would be appreciated!!  |

Trying hitting "restore factory" in settings.. Can u upload the ravlay? I can try to load it on my system and see what happens..
Also make sure hit "save layout" to layout 1-4 etc. before saving the overall ravlay. Basically anytime you make a change to a layout save that layout, then save the ravlay.

I restored factory default, and made sure I have saved my layout but when I try to open the saved .ravlay I get the same symptom, it loads for about a second or two and then disappears. But I can open the Raven.Mti application and that loads just fine and then I can go to setting and load raven session, choose my .ravlay file and it opens ok and runs fine from there. How should I upload my .ravlay file, just attach it to my post or upload it somewhere else?

Here is the .ravlay I saved, it's not much different from the "music" layout except on page 2 I changed some BC's to use to set up and go to markers. TEST.ravlay (321.81 KB) I named it "test" to differentiate from the main .ravlay so I would know it was the one I changed. thanks again! |

Jamey , I suspect/ guessing whatever under the hood that deals with ravlays in 3.0 is also be related to adding to the overall 3.0 problems ? ie; ..., because I also noticed that on one occasion in V3.0 (for MTi1) >>> just before my curser had a epileptic fit by jumping radically all over the screen, - / followed by me having to do a forced shutdown of raven 3.0 ..., and ..., - / upon restarting Raven, and THEN getting "NO Ilok" warnings ..., well ..., Just before all this bugginess was going on ; I happened to be adding new ICONS to an existing unfinished project (that I earlier was working on in raven 2.5.1) ..., and the reason I was adding icons (in 3.0) was because 3.0 would not load my existing saved .ravlay (from 2.5.1) ..., that loaded no problem the day before in 3.0 - by using the load Raven session button ? (and FYI - yes I did save it correctly the day before upon shutting down the Raven - and I even double checked this by going to time machine for the original, as I made no changes to the .ravlay and that would not load either)
also ..., the ICONs I was adding (before Raven 3.0 took a fit) were custom icons that were originally taken with MACs screenshot function - that I have used over and over many time before on previous versions of raven ?
In my 4 days of installing / uninstalling / re-downloading / re-installing / crash crash etc with Raven 3.0 (including the new build) ..., I noticed on many occations Jamey, of unexplained inconsistencies with loading my saved .ravlays |

This is a bug for sure, you should be able to just open the ravlay, I will get the programmers to fix this. For now, if you "Set as user default" raven will open up with this ravlay by default. |
