I saw in one of Jamiez videos how i can import an instrument with multi outs , all routed nicely via the ptxt PT Hack . It works , but the PT mixer aux inputs of the individual instruments outs come up greyed out and have to be activated .Thats ok , but it would be fantastic if i could just hit the button and start playing ;)Is there a solution ?

Are you on PT10?? I get this in PT10 when adding new Aux Tracks sometimes. I think i had some luck with just deleting some of the extra busses I wasn't using.. like 64-100..

Yes,PT10.3.8 native . My guess: When I save the Track preset ,the routing from the Instrument aux is not saved with it - when importing , PT doesn't recognise the Instr. aux channels . Does it work in PT11 ? I have a colicence for 10 and 11 , but didn't instal 11 cause I'm running on mavericks and Avid say's not to instal both systems when on mavericks.

I run Pt10 and Pt11 and PT12 all on Mavericks with no problems. This doesn't happen on PT11 or 12: I think it is some kind of bug that was never addressed.

installed PT11 , set it up for raven ...works . Track hack doesn|t however . In my PT11 track create window , the Track Preset folder doesn't show up .It' s located in the avid folder , together with my PT10 . The PT11 app is located in the application folder , with no folder tree . Is there a way to let 11 know where the Track preset folder is located ?

Should i create manually a pt folder in documents ? That is kind of weird.. Maybe try saving some I/O settings or something in PT11 and see if that will create the folder.. /Users/supaman/Documents/Pro Tools/Track Presets The only folder you should have to create is the "Track Preset" folder. Check out some of these links. I think you may have missed a checkbox when installing PT11. But check out these threads, see if they help. Pro Tools Expert Track Preset hack

Hi jameyz , thanks for the advice , did copy the track preset folder to the docu/protools folder and it works unfortunally , the importing of instruments with multi outs stays a problem . Pt11 actually crashes when i import my vienna instrument macros . Pt kind of mixes up the routing and reroutes already imported macros to the newly imported . I guess its a bug in the system . I will investegate further ....

I am able to do it with SSD4 routed to 11 aux tracks with the input of the auxes all connected to SSD4. There could be a preference somewhere about overwriting I/O... I will look around for it..

There is a preference for overwriting I/O. Every time I launch PT I select an IO setting I saved and placed in the IO Settings Folder. Also, make sure you have your default output bus set to your main stereo bus. Sometimes (for some reason) PT wants to change my default output and then all my new tracks automatically route to some random bus.
