is there a nifty batch command that could take the session name and then paste it into selected tracks i.e. into tracks called:

DIALOGUE STEM
MUSIC STEM
FX STEM

and change them to names like above by augmenting their names?

That is totally possible, here is a BC that will paste the Session name to the stem record tracks and keep their original name. This one is for pro tools 11. Just make sure your stem tracks are right next to each other and the first stem track is selected.
