First I just want to say everything seems to keep getting better and better and I'm really glad to be a raven user. It's not bad having a few perks like a free plugin here and there as well. VMR and Air Eq are both really great plugins!
I always get excited about updates and new features and Sometimes they spark ideas that might be cool for future updates.
I like that sets of batch command buttons now have labels. What if in the future we could save our own sets of batch commands? Just like how we have the ability to save our own batch commands in the user quick list. That would be really cool to be able to save batches of 6 or 8 batch commands and recall them in some sort of quick list.
One bug I found was that the audio FX button only allows me to scroll through 2 plugins. To be honest, I think the audio fx button is a really great idea, but I haven't used it a lot. My workflow when mixing is listening to the song, noticing something about the sound I want to change, then grabbing a plugin based on what I'm trying do or the sound I'm trying to get. Then I dial in my settings and usually don't need to change it much after that. The audio fx button is not really the best way to get to the plugin I want quickly. Logic's new plugin organizer has made things much easier to just click on the insert in the inspector or logic's mixer. The audio fx button is a good way to tweak plugins after they are already on the track, but not something I find myself needing to do a whole lot.
Also, I've never really liked the transport. I'm used to the function of using spacebar which plays when hit once, and pauses when hit again. The play button on raven doesn't act that way. And the stop button brings it back to the beginning, so there is no convenient way to pause without going back to the beginning. Also I don't find the rewind and fast forward buttons useful. Instead I find myself using comma and period to move forward or backward 1 bar at a time weather playing or stopped. For now, I've just programmed my own transport.
Some way to assign sends from the raven mixer would be cool too. And maybe an Android version of the remote.
I don't expect you to build the whole program based on my workflow, but I thought it might be helpful to hear feedback from someone who uses it to make music every day.
Otherwise good work! I love the new updates! Thanks for making my life easier! :-)
