I ordered my MTi today and I hope I receive it in the next few days Is there any documentation listing what's in the box? Do I have to buy cables? Thanks

From the MTi User manual: Attach DVI video cable to the first slot on your Mac Pro. (Note, HDMI is also available if you prefer.)
Does this mean that there is a HDMI slot on the Raven, or that it's possible to use the HDMI slot on the Mac if I use a converter from HDMI to DVI?

Hi Hez,
A DVI to HDMI adapter would be the method of utilizing your computers HDMI connection. I would recommend using a converter with a short cable instead of the adapters that are little blocks.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

The nMP has TB2 , USB3 , & HDMI ports on the back ..., So to plug the Raven into the nMP
- I'd have a USB plug coming from the Raven, whic will then plug into the nMP's usb3 port . - There is ALSO have a DVI cable coming from the Raven , and that DVI cable is joined to a A DVI to HDMI adapter ..., which will then plug into the nMP's HDMI port.
Is this the optimum way to connect to the New Mac Pro (late 2013 model) ?

Hi Seafoam, That setup should function in an exceptional manner! If it is more convenient to go DVI to mini-display/TB that will work well also.

Kind Regards, — Trevor Fedele Executive Assistant / Technical Assistant Slate Media Technology // Slate Digital LLC trevor@stevenslate.com Hi Trevor, I have to go to Singapore very soon to buy my New Mac Pro , and while I am in Singapore ,I also need to buy the "CORRECT" cable / adaptors to hook up the Raven to my New Mac Pro. Ive searched a few computer stores here in Bali, Indonesia and found nothing:'( ..., So I have to get this cable dilemma 100% right during my Singapore visit. So the 3ft DVI cable that comes boxed with the RAVEN MTi , what exactly is that ? ...., is it a ..., male DVI plug for the end which plugs into the Raven , with the other end being another MALE DVI plug ( is this correct or not ? ) *** If I was correct about the supplied Raven 3ft DVI cable ?? , ....., then I could get rid of it >>>>> and replace it with this cable (shown in link below) ie; Belkin HDMI to DVI-D Cable - length 2 meters) - Would this Cable 100% Do the Job
...., As I cannot find a "SHORT" FEMALE DVI to MALE HDMI cable on the ; Singapore Apple web site Link ; Belkin HDMI to DVI-D Cable (length 2 meters) - store.apple.com/sg/product/HA835ZM/A/belkin-hdmi-to-dvi-d-cable-2m?fnode=51
ATM - this seems my only logical choice....., As I cannot find any adaptors that are; - THUNDERBOLT to DVI , or - THUNDERBOLT to MINI DVI ...., I can get ....., - DVI to Mini DVI ..., but then I will still need a ........., - MINI DVI ti HDMI for me to complete the link to the Mac Pro .................., therefore the 1st option above is best >>> as it gets rid of 3 adaptors Trevor , Could you please confirm..., if this selection shown in the link above (ie; Belkin HDMI Male to Male DVI-D Cable - length 2 meters) is Indeed the correct cable I need to buy ? (choices are very limited in my part of the world ;; store.apple.com/sg/mac/mac-accessories/cables ) Regards

RE; Cables , and attaching the RAVEN to the New MAC PRO
Hi Trevor , Thank you for your time and suggestion, ....., but (although helpful) ..., I have noted that this adapter - when used with the New (late2013) Mac Pro - would still require an additional ; MINI DVI to HDMI cable/or adaptor , to make this work with the Raven ...., As the nMP does not have ant Mini DVI Ports, nor DVI Ports. (ie; unless there was a hub/accessory attached to the nMP , containing these additional ports)
The nMP does have ; www.apple.com/mac-pro/specs/- 6 X Thunderbolt2 Ports - 4 X USB3 Ports , and, - 2 X Ethernet Ports. This was why I suggested the; Belkin HDMI to DVI-D Cable (length 2 meters) may be a better option for a nMP ? - as this Belkin HDMI to DVI-D Cable (length 2 meters) ....., is only one single cable - that would be replacing Three (ie; supplied slate raven DVI cable + 2 X "add on" adapters ie; - DVI to Mini DVI , and MINI DVI to HDMI) I am sure you are extremely busy Trevor , and it amazes me how you guys can still always find the time to provide the excellent customer service that you all provide ......, but when you can find the time Trevor, could you please confirm this Belkin HDMI to DVI-D Cable (length 2 meters) has the correct type plug ? .., thx
