Hi there .
I have just installed the new 2.1.0 Raven update. (thx guys) (along with an uninstall/restart/re-install of the included new versions of multitouch Platform and Neyfi) ....,
- But ..., so far the only difference I am noticing is ;
When Raven is hidden , the raven bird icon shown at the bottom far left of the screen now has a transparent background behind it rather than the black on it used to have (which is good)
......, but what about all the other new improvement and features that were listed ?
- How do we use, or notice how they are apparent ................, as there is no included read me notes with the download at all ?
Also - has the existing manual been updated to reflect the changes ?
( actually the whole manual needs to be updated or completely re-written IMO , as its the "most" - vague , half informing, info missing MANUAL ive ever read - the VMR manual was a breath of fresh air compared to the Ravens botched up manual effort)
- I also thought the icon were going to be improved also , there still seems to be the same icons in the icon palate , and now I cant even import my saved icons at all using the browser in the icons pallete (ie; Icons from a folder on my computer , containing my custom Icons which are saved as screenshots) .
The Older version of the Raven allowed these to be saved in the custom section (but the icons wouldnt get saved when reopening the raven - this is better described in detail in the pro tools / raven thread , and better to reference that thread for the exact info regarding this problem) , but I cant even do that (ie; save my custom icons to the icon palette) ................, it now seems even more problematic than the older version was ?

Hi, been using the Raven MTI for a couple months now quite flawlessly, i decided to upgrade this morning but I had to downgrade immediately, 2.0 was a total fail in my system. Here's what happened: - The raven mixer just doesn't show up. I can only see the protools mixer, even loading the factory default settings. - It does open my raven sessions but things are missing in different layouts and some buttons like the raven mixer don't work anymore. - In the mixer view (with no raven mixer) the second rack still pops up, no way to hide it. I followed exactly the instructions and uninstalled the previous versions (Ney.Fi etc). Running pro tools 11 on a 16 GB ram Mac Mini, 2.6Ghz i7 The search function looks very useful though. I downgraded reinstalling the old versions of everything and I fixed the problem, but i'd like to know if someone had the same issues! Thanks Davide

Thanks Davide Did u reactive your midi input devices and midi peripherals?? The ney fi may require this. That would be why the mixer is popping up and isn't recognizing the change in the mixer window.

Hi there, I just installed 2.1.0. It doesn't seem to have much for Pro Tools users. I was hoping for easily customisable Audiosuite macros and mouse click options. All its done is blown away all my custom shortcuts, which I'll now have to rebuild. Any news on those new things for PT? Thanks

Thanks Pro Tools has the "Search" function in quick list which is amazing, and about 200 new BC's "Color Coding" "IO Settings" and many more Mouse Clicks and some internal upgrades. There shouldn't be a reason it wipes out your old stuff (all we have done is add more). Will your Ravlay not open? if so upload and I will try to convert it.. We added "click audio suite" which will allow a user preset audio suite selection. (Plus I have 200 Open AS coming very soon for UAD,Waves,Slate) For custom AudioSuite stuff use "Click Audiosuite" (this is new) and "Click Audiosuite Preset" which will load any audio suite and any preset.. followed by "Render Audiosuite" Lots more AS BC's coming Soon.. check some of these for Massey De es or Eiosis De es De Es. EIOSIS DE ES.ravbc (977 B) MASS DE ES AS.ravbc (1.02 KB) peace

Hi Jamey, Thanks for that. Its hard to find the new stuff, because its not really pointed out in the release notes. I'll give those new Audiosuite click BC's a try.
It only blew away my custom links to Keyboard Maestro stuff, but I've copied it back over from a backup, so all good.
The fader response does seem better and the general touch response too.
Cheers
Martin
