Was excited to see the 3.3 release drop today and installed it on a Mac Pro macOS 10.12.1 running the MTi 2. - After install, using Raven Setup will not initiate the setup for Cubase. Is there a new way to run through the setup? The behavior is the same for Cubase 8.5 and 9.
- In Cubase 9, the internal mixer will not line up with the Cubase Mixer faders. Stereo In/Out channels are not visible and the mixer has been zoomed to display 24 channels. The red outline is perfectly lining up with where it should be and banking left or right will not re-adjust the Raven fader knobs to line them up with the Cubase mixer.
- The 3.3 intro video is showing gestures to trigger actions, which I don't seem to get. Anything I am missing in setting this up? When selecting the DAW during Raven's startup has an option at the bottom labeled "Unlock Multi-Touch". Selecting it and clicking on OK does not seem to yield anything other than Raven closing down.
If I wanted to start from scratch entirely, what is the uninstall process for the Raven software?
Thanks!
JB

If you have already installed the Raven and setup for Cubase previously, there is no need to run the setup again, it would actually add a 2nd V-Control Pro and would probably break. Try setting up by hand. In Cubase 9, the internal mixer will not line up with the Cubase Mixer faders. Stereo In/Out channels are not visible and the mixer has been zoomed to display 24 channels. The red outline is perfectly lining up with where it should be and banking left or right will not re-adjust the Raven fader knobs to line them up with the Cubase mixer. Here is an article on how to align the Cubase Internal Mixer. That option is only for Raven users who don't have a support DAW. Just launch Raven like normal.
Here is the link to start a support ticket for the Raven..

Thanks, Jamey. Very helpful resources. I'll dig through them to ensure everything is on track.
I think the biggest issue right now is stemming from how the Gestures trigger actions. The mixer misalignment initially cleared up after a reboot of the system, but is back with a vengeance. There are some anomalies with it, such as the gestures on an opened plugin when zoomed in somehow triggering actions on the internal Raven mixer faders. I will submit a ticket for it. As it stands, there is too much monkeying around with the internal Raven mixer to make it useful.
Gestures also mess with the channel lineup in the mixer. I'll have to review the Gestures documentation you provided to see if there is something that's not set up correctly.
I have also seen when zoomed into the Project window that batch commands are triggered even if the Raven racks are not visible on the zoomed in screen.
I'll do a bit more testing to see if I can document the various behaviors in repeatable steps.

Hey Jamey...
So I have the same problem: After install, using Raven Setup will not initiate the setup for Cubase. I have an MTi-1. I had previously tried using Raven with Cubase 8 some time ago, but gave up after awhile. (I use it with Studio One instead. Very smooth experience. I've also successfully set it up with Logic 10.3.1. A much improved experience in ver 3.3 for me.) But I can't for the life of me get this set up to work with Cubase.
It would really help if 1) I could get the auto set-up function to work. The biggest problem is the mixer set up and what should or should not be displayed. I looked at this article (slatemt.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/220305987-Cubase-Mixer-Alignment), but it didn't help me much unfortunately. The auto setup takes care of all of that, but when I press "Raven Set up" i get nothing.
I only have one V Control showing in device set up listening to V-Control" in the drop downs. I have the RavenKeys CU8 selected in key commands,. I have all of the right things set up in systems preferences per the video instruction. Don't know where the disconnect occurs.
Please advise and thank you. G

If you hit it and have already setup Cubase and V-Control Pro it will add a 2nd V-Control Pro and will probably break something. Its pretty easy to setup by hand. Did the installer add the Raven workspaces in your Cubase? Here is the QuickStart Video for Cubase/Nuendo on OS X

Thanks Jamey. Yes. The workspaces are there. And the macro buttons seem to work in most cases (haven't tried them all of course). But "Raven Setup" does nothing and despite my efforts, the mixer is way out of sync. Maybe you folks could upload a standard project template with the correct things hidden for a 24 channel mix at some point in the future. Make it a part of the standard download....

OK. I may have the alignment issue sorted. Do I have the following correct:
1 - No Stereo IO visible 2 - You can't use "zones" at all

OK. Jamey, Thanks for the video links. I watched it again and there were a couple of things I had missed. Much obliged.
A question for you:I can't display the Stereo out in the mixer without losing sync between the raven mixer and the cubase mixer. Does this mean that I put whatever plugins I want on the master (stereo out) channel, then hide it to continue my work? Seems so, but I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something obvious.
Thanks. G

Hi all, i followed all instruction but when trying to use some of the colour commands from the quick list I get strange things, the one for colour blue is actually setting to default colour if I am lucky, otherwise it stops playing and enables the click sound. I am on dual raven setup. Thanks
