I looked at the instructions and my UPPD is 2017 and the UPDD is 2016 on the instructions. I attempted to use the 4 and 5 finger gestures and they do not work, will this feature work in Studio one?

Since S1 already uses lots of gestures, only a few custom ones will work. I got Rotate Left and Right to work. Here is the Profile. However when I tried 5 finger it didn't work well. I was able to use Pinch Zoom, by holding CNTRL and pinch zooming. (need to setup Zoom prefs in Accessibility) Studio One Gestures Mute and Break.gpf (50.73 KB)

Hey there,
When you say S1 already uses a lot of gestures, what do you mean by that? Is there a list of gestures I can reference that you're aware of? So far the only ones I'm aware of that I use are pinch to zoom in and out of the edit window, one finger scroll left to right and then just the regular use of the touch screen for faders, batch commander, etc...
Bummed none of the new touch gestures work for S1 like being able to 5 finger pinch to close plugins. Is there anything new and cool for S1 users other than updated layouts?
Also, in the update doc it says that Mti2 users can now user keyboard modifiers in conjunction with touch. If I hold down shift and move the fader in S1, it doesn't work. I was really under the impression that this would finally be a thing in this update. Am I missing something?
Stoked to try all of the new stuff out in Pro Tools, though!

Hey,
S1 already has pinch zoom for track height etc and 1 finger scroll. I will have to see if the have any more documents on their gestures. For now, I would experiment with adding in a couple 3 finger taps and 4 finger splays and get them to work.

Hmm...
I'm not sure how to go about doing that in regards to opening and closing plugins.
What about the keyboard modifiers and touch?

Hi Jamey,
I saw Steven's YouTube on Mti's support of Studio one. I've been looking online at all the outlets I can think of and search, but I can't find where I can purchase a DAW license specifically for Studio One for Raven.
If buying a license for Studio One is a fix for compatibility I'd love to do it, but I can't find where I can buy it. I see where I can buy Batch Commander for PT and Logic, but can't find where to purchase Studio One compliant licensing, if there is such a thing, that's compatible with the newest version of Studio One.
I have 3 other big questions if there is a Studio One license like there is a Cubase and PT license.
Is Raven developed enough for me to drop the $99 on it, once I find where to purchase it? I went to purchase another DAW license, but in the purchase process, I wasn't able to chose which DAW license I was purchasing, so I stopped my purchase process not feeling sure of myself. Do I just purchase and then am I'm give a code for my purchase for me select my DAW choice on my account page??? I installed everything required and setup my Gesture profile settings for Studio One according to the Studio One setup video. The only thing I was NOT able to do in the process, was to completely load Batch Commander because I had no licenses to load for Studio One.
To save me getting more wordie on this topic that I'm sure you have an answer for. I'll wait to hear back from you.
Thanks in advance!

Hi Jamey, I saw Steven's YouTube on Mti's support of Studio one. You will need to purchase an additional $99 license for the 2nd DAW as Raven only comes with 1 DAW passcode. This extra DAW can be purchased within your Slate account in the Raven tab. I have 3 other big questions if there is a Studio One license like there is a Cubase and PT license. Yes there is. They can all be purchased in your Slate account under the Raven tab. Is Raven developed enough for me to drop the $99 on it, once I find where to purchase it? The Raven uses "Batch Commander for Studio One" since Studio One is already setup for multi touch. So although the ilok says Raven MTI, you will need to use the "Batch Commander for Studio One" app. However we are working on adding Studio one into the Raven application. I went to purchase another DAW license, but in the purchase process, I wasn't able to chose which DAW license I was purchasing, so I stopped my purchase process not feeling sure of myself. Do I just purchase and then am I'm give a code for my purchase for me select my DAW choice on my account page??? You just purchase the passcode, then when you register the passcode it will ask what DAW you would like. I installed everything required and setup my Gesture profile settings for Studio One according to the Studio One setup video. The only thing I was NOT able to do in the process, was to completely load Batch Commander because I had no licenses to load for Studio One. Here is an article on how to quickly setup Touch and Gestures for Studio One. slatemt.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/218709057-Studio-One-SetupBe sure to check out the QuickStart video. youtu.be/AGE3ds7-IBM?t=6m25sTo save me getting more wordie on this topic that I'm sure you have an answer for. THANKS!
You have been exceptional as always. Perhaps my redundant questions and your stellar and patient answers will be of good use for other Studio One/Raven users trying trying to find their way in the future.
Thanks again!

Ill download this attachment you made in the meantime. Thank You EDIT: I just Saw This**** I had some luck using a 4 finger splay to close plugins. Just added the key command F12.*** How do I do that?

If you open gestures and go to settings, you can then show Gestures in the Menu Bar. From there you can save and load gestures profiles to easily switch them around to your favorite key commands. slatemt.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/216754667-Setting-up-extra-UPDD-Gestures

Im lost. I searched around for other videos to see but everything is protools. Is there any resources that will show me this in studio one or is it possible to get your Gesture Profile?

Thanks for sharing that Jamey, Unfortunately I did everything to the T from that video and nothings happening just a system sound when I try to tap 3 finger tap on the plugin. Im lost. There must be a system key command conflicting if you are hearing that wound. Also, there is no need to tap on the plugin, you can tap any where on the display. I searched around for other videos to see but everything is protools. Is there any resources that will show me this in studio one or is it possible to get your Gesture Profile? The DAW doesn't matter, gestures will perform the key command on whichever app is up front. Users just have to add in the keystrokes into UPDD gestures. here is the gestures profile for S1. SO with 3.5 update will Studio One get the same gestures, I cannot find any documentation on what we get. Gestures have been there since the release of the MTi2, 3.5 only added gestures access to MTi1/MTX users. Gestures are completely customizable for any application you are using on your touch screen. slatemt.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/216754667-Setting-up-extra-UPDD-GesturesHere is a quick setup guide for Studio One on MTi2 for Mac OSX:
