I have been trying to create some commands that fit my workflow and some things are frustrating me greatly. It is very unclear to me what can and cannot be recorded with batch commands. I can dig around here and find some information but it seems to be very hard to know if I'm making a mistake or if the batch commands simply don't do what I think they should. 1 example, I would simply like to opt+shift+click on an output. Seems easy, it is not. Why is that so difficult? There is an existing built in command that says it does that, but it is mis-labeled and actually adds the cmd modifier to the batch, yielding a different result (sequential output assignments rather than same output assignments for selected tracks). Is this me? I actually feel stupid when I use this and I am finding that frustrating.

I did eventually figure out how to do this, thanks to a video linked to on another thread. There is a batch command for "Click select track output" which is not quite the same as the "click output mti" in the video, but I figured it was the same. This is a very useful command btw, at least for me. I do have a follow up question though; How is it that this command doesn't seem to include shift+option, yet fills the same function? Is that programming from Slate? Just curious so I can better understand the system.

Yeah, Click select track is programmed with a Shift Click as should most of the preprogrammed clicks. Click output MTI is when showing only 5 inserts and 5 sends in the mixer window.
