Yall have been saying it will be out in a couple of weeks since august..this is getting silly. I have my mti sitting in a box at my studio being used as a drink stand. :/ .. I would much rather use it for what it should be used for... either that or I'm make my own beta for like using the touch screen to watch porn...

My mentor was on the phone with Sweetwater back in august of this year when the sales rep said someone at slate was there on site. During the call the rep asked the slate rep and He was given the nod to go ahead and buy it because "Just 2 weeks away" was stated.
I love slate but the 2 week promises do chip away at the love i have. For the life of me i cant imagine why PC/Cubase was the last picked for dodgeball. We are a huge customer base and the MTI2 price point has us eager to buy. I wont buy till its out. I know many are waiting for the beta. Yeah, i will wait longer till its official. I cant roll the dice on a thousand dollar beta, thats sounds too much like Nuendo 1,2,3 and 4. I was an early user and those days felt like i was a paying beta tester. Not keen on doing that jive turkey crap again.
I know many folks here complain about the '2 weeks' promises. I am still taken aback that it was October 2015 when S.Slate went public with a statement saying something like "just a few weeks away". I guess 'few' means 52+ weeks.
Morning bitching rant over...sorry folks. Just got damn excited back in 2015 when it was announced and now its sounding like "I'll respect you in the morning" or "Check is in the mail".
Seeing the admin keep talking about C9 is a wink and nod enough for me to know if you want a stable MTI2, you better upgrade...pally!

I used a version of Cubase with Windows a year ago, and it worked ok. But wasn't ready for prime time. What was needed is an update from Ney Fi to V-control and an update of the touch driver from V5 to V6. This slowed down the Pro tools for Windows release which in turn slowed down the Cubase release. So I hope you can see it turns into a "how long is a piece of string" type of thing. We are really close and finally have all the extra pieces together. Cubase 9 fixed a couple small bugs in Cubase 8.5 that I didn't love, but the Raven will work for Cubase 8 and 8.5 right now as I am not sure when CU9 is coming out officially.

Grumpy Dennis in Memphis So I hope you can see it turns into a "how long is a piece of string" type of thing. Are you quoting Captain Spaulding from House of a 1000 Corpses? :-) As for the Raven software...Its not a huge bummer for me as i exercised extreme patience and held off buying one. I just have my Mentor along with many other with a fancy unused screen thats slowly chipping away at any warranty window it may have (assuming here). Thanks for the detailed update about the 8.5 bug. I would assume MANY of us in this forums are Nerds/Geeks and appreciate such details as mundane as they may seem. This helps us better understand the hold up. We are all eager to get our geeky fingers on our mixes as soon as you guys fix the bugs. Dennis

Hey i had something weird happen to me with my Raven MTi2. I'am on windows right and i was using the touchScreen for normal applications then... the raven touchscreen driver stopped working. A window opened and said that I had reached the 100 point touch limit. Hum....so does this mean that if you are not using the Raven software, you can only touch the screen 100 times before the touch drivers stop working. If thats so, that sucks to pay $1000 bucks for a touchscreen that only lets you touch it 100 time if not using its software. Can someone shed some light on this for me thanks......

The first time you open the Raven software it will register with UPDD and touch will work forever on your computer without needing Raven to be open.

Let me guess. It will be ready in 2 weeks? The beta is out so send me an email if you want to join the beta team. But due to Cubase 9 coming out 2 weeks ago, we decided we need to support that as well. Mix that in with us being closed for the holidays, the final Raven 3.3 release will be out by the end of Jan.

Any news? And will you be releasing any how to videos for Cubase PC? I'm becoming more frustrated by the day.... Videos will come out once the software has released. Considering it is still in beta, we are changing things every day, so cannot commit to a video until we iron everything out. Please email regarding anything with the beta. jamey@stevenslate.com I would be happy to sort out any issues you have.
