I've got a $1k burning a hole in my pocket and I'm ready tomorder an MTi2, but first a few questions...
1. I'm running windows 7 on a custom built pc, compatible?
2. ...with a gtx750 gpu (2G video card), that's plenty to avoid ghosting, lag, etc, correct?
3. I'm also running Sonar Producer or Platinum or Professional or whatever they're calling it these days. That's already touch compatible, but does it work with the MTi2? It's not listed on the page, yet I've seen things in the forum that suggest that it is...
4. If so, does the batch command work with it? And all the functionality that it is suppossed to have?
thanks, Jason

Right now a Raven will control Sonar with multi touch, but we just don't have the software ready for it yet.. If you got a Raven you will be able to use it to mix and tweak plug ins by hand.

Awesome, thanks for that!
Does any of the software work yet, or is that all bundled togther? (Faders, Remote, 3.0)
Also, need beta testers? (Serious)

Since Sonar is already multi touch, there is no need for Raven Faders. But the Remote and Batch Commander will be available in a few months.. We will need some Beta testers when it is close to release.

So, looking at this from a pessimistic point of view, right now I would just be getting an expensive touch screen, right? The software is what really sells this package (I think), unless there's something about the hardware that's a step up from a commercially available monitor? (Like the 27" acer)
I know the sales part of things probably isn't your job and I need to get the kid from sweetwater on the phone....but I want to believe. Make the pitch?
Thanks again Jamey for the time

Do not buy an Acer.. You will be sad..
Our touch driver and screens are developed for audio engineers, so you will not have the same experience with another screen and touch driver.
You are right that the software is an important part of the system. So when Sonar Batch Commander/ Raven is out it will make the screen much more useful..

This thing is awesome. All hooked up and running, can't wait to start working with it.
For registering, there's no Sonar option. Suggestions? Thanks, Jason

You may want to wait to register the DAW until sonar is out, However if you have another DAW that you use, you can get the sonar for $99 once it is out..

Hi Jason ( I hope you see this...) - now that you've had a chance to work with the MTi2 with Sonar a while, can you give me an overview of how well it works since it's not a supported format? Would you recommend it without BC support? Thanks much, Shep

Just a quick question- I got the Raven Mti2 specifically to work with Sonar, however it seems fader/knob accuracy isn't so great. I know Sonar is not formally supported as of this writing, but maybe there's another forum member who can shed some light on maybe configuring the Raven to be more accurate with fader/knob movements?? I'd really love to get some serious work done with this, as I think this is an awesome product (also using it with PT 12). Thanks in advance!

I know many of the knobs are "Rotary" so instead of UP/Down its a circle motion. If by accuracy you mean the "Speed" I do think Sonar could slow down the touch action. With the mouse there is a SHIFT CLICK that will slow down the speed. But this doesn't seem to work with touch..

I got my MTi2 up today. I think it works about as flawless as I could hope for fader-wise. I'm pretty disappointed at all that SPLAT doesn't have implemented in the DAW that most others have.

I apologize, I should have given an example. What I mean is this-when i use my finger to move the volume faders/other knobs, I go from let's say -1.0 all the way to -22.4 with just the slightest movement. Small incremental volume changes of even .5 db are nearly impossible. Is there a setting I've missed somewhere, either with the Raven or Sonar?? Again, thanks for your help!!!

Something must be configured incorrectly. Do you have multi touch in Sonar?? If not maybe something up with TUIO. I will fire up my mti2 and sonar today.

From what I gather, Sonar has multi touch built in and ready to go once a multi touch screen is connected. I don't think there is a separate "multitouch edition". All I can think of that I have something not configured correctly.
