I have a couple of questions after using the batch Commander.
1. The 'Click Insert F First Raven Track' seems to click the H Insert not F. 2. If I like some of the buttons in the layouts but want them on the 1st layout is there a way to copy buttons from one layout to another or do I need to recreate all the commands under a new button. 3. Any chance of getting a command for the Izotope RX4 Audiosuite especially the RX4 Connect. 4. Is it possible to add a new track, set the color and assign it to an existing BUSS e.g. add a new drum track, color it brown and set it's output to the DRUM BUSS AUX. 5. Mixer 22/24 does not work on my system, should it. This might be a Pro Tools 11 feature or bug because it seems that the Track list will not disappear when in the Mix window only in the Edit Window. 6. Save Pro Tools Button does not work on my system. 7. Is it possible to have a default location of my choice for the Saving and Loading of BC Sessions. At the moment it always goes back to the user folder, which I then need to go hunting for the folder I saved in again. Then if I load a BC Session and then decide to load another one the program opens back to the user folder and not where I just was.
Thanks
Kevin

Hey kdj01, Here are some answers 1. I am not 100% sure which BC you are referring to. Please send me some screen shots and more details(trevor@stevenslate.com). 2. Right now there is not a way to copy multiple buttons over, we are working on this for the future. 3. I will work on getting some Izotope commands for you. 4. I could make a few of these let me know some of the other buss names you commonly use. The colors may be a bit more difficult but I'll try. 5. Again, please send some screen shots so I can look into this. 6. Save Pro Tools Button will be fixed in a update coming very soon. 7. It should be possible I will look into this and have an update for you soon. Let me know if you have any other questions. Or include them when you email screen shots. Kind Regards, — Trevor Fedele RAVEN Software Specialist Slate Media Technology // Slate Digital LLC trevor@stevenslate.com

Very soon this will be an option 3. slate.boards.net/thread/67/izotope-audio-suite-bcs already on the board 4.Totally Possible I will work on this. 5. Hit the Green Maximize button. 6. Fixed in the new build coming out around 9pm 7. It always goes to the user folder (i will see about fixing this)

1. I will give that a try. 2. Great to hear. 3. Already tried these and none work on my system. Also I am more looking for the new Izotope Connect Audiosuite Plugin. 4. Saw your update and will be giving that a go. Thanks. 5. I hit the green button and the problem remains. I cannot get Pro Tools 11 to hide the Track List in the Mix Window only the Edit Window. 6. All good in the update. 7. Good to hear.
Thanks for your help.

I didn't even know this but I worked out that if you double click the grey line next to the track list it makes the track list disappear and then you double click the grey line again but at the edge of the screen to get it back. The Mixer22/24 button still does not work though. I tried to line up the red line again but no matter where I place it I cannot get it to work. Can you tell me how the button works so I can see if I can do it manually.

Hi I found the little left arrow and that works fine but the Mixer button still will not work. Sorry if this sounds rude but it doesn't matter how many times I press the green maximise button it just won't work.

I don't know if this helps but I had exactly the same issue. What I found was it was my misunderstanding of how to set things up. The edit window should be adjusted to the top of the BC bar, however the mix window must be maximised to fill the whole screen using the green maximise button, and left like that so extends behind the bar right to the bottom of the screen. If you adjust it at all the 22/24 button doesn't work. I hope this helps.

Unfortunately I did work that setup step out but it still doesn't work for me and I don't get why. I hit the green maximise button and see it has covered the entire screen and sits to the bottom behind the BC bar yet the button will still not work. Thanks for the advice.

Sorry it didn't help you. One thing I've learnt over the past few day is that most of the problems have been simply fixed, but are something very easily overlooked, I hope you get it sorted.

Here you go, instant new track, bus to custom, color custom youtu.be/BoZMUw8g5LUHi Jamie , Trevor and the Slate team , Thanks for listening and also acting on our user concerns so promptly as you all have RE; The new improved method of your recording and editing in the most recent tuition videos, ....., along with your newly adopted slowed down presentation style - These Videos are a massive improvement ,and so much easier to follow and learn from. ..., cheers guys. Some of the reasons why I thought your new videos hit the mark are ;
1 - I really like how you slow down the pace (right down), as its now so much easier for the listener to not only hear what your saying but take it on board also. 2 - I like how you included pauses in speech before moving on to the next step , and the calmness of going through the motion of performing those steps , ...., as this gave the learner that few seconds to reflect on what you had just described again making it all that so much easier to absorb. 3 - I also like how you are now not only telling us to push a button (eg ; the timeline edit button in pro tools) ...., but you physically mouse over that button , turn it off , and then you turn it back on again ..., it is gestures like these that glue themselves to the learners memory. 4 - I am also liking when you "add scripts to the screen" for highlighting very important points , again this another supporting measure that helps gel the information to the users brain. 5 - I am also liking how you "slow the pace even further when explaining whats going on inside the BCer edit widow" , and fine detail those steps ( you can never over-do fine detailing ) ..., with soooo many given steps that make up a batch command ,and what each step actually entails ... , It helps our understanding (and appreciation) of whats actually going on under the hood with each Batch Command Ultimately myself (and I imagine all users ) will want enough Batch commands where we just need to push a single button - and all our wishes and dreams are sorted , in that everything works perfect and for many of the batch commands this will be true . ...., But in reality we all have our different needs and requirements and workflows, and it is mastering the Edit window where we need to make these individual changes and adjustments - and is where all the "nitty gritty" happens. ...., even though a lot of that BC Edit window stuff you are explaining has already had the pace slowed down somewhat - much of it (my fault) is still going over my head ...., but I am still gaining some knowledge from the slowed down videos though , and as i watch more of your vids ,and use the BCs more and more , I am hoping that I will come to understand that side exactly , and even confident enough to start writing some of my own personal customised Batch Commands . But at the moment though ( for me anyway) , I find my creative side is temporarily held back until I know that I am 100% confident with the Batch commands and their work flow - ie; where performing all thats involved becomes 2nd nature and automated without thinking , as at the moment all this stuff seems closer to mathematics problem solving than it does music creation ...., (well done , and kudos to you other brainiac users out there that have already figured it out ..., I'm jealous of you guys) ...., So thanks Jamie , Trevor , and the whole team ....., well done with the new vids - thankyou PS ; looking forward to those revised versions of the manuals also

Jameyz,
I really like the new track setup you created for me. There is one thing though. I understand from the manual that if I am on Pro Tools 11 I should only have 5 inserts and 5 sends visible because of the longer faders. This I don't because on my system I can have all inserts and all sends visible without impacting the screen with the BC bar( maybe it is a Raven thing). I like to work with all inserts and 5 sends visible. To be restricted to only 5 inserts is annoying. This obviously breaks what you have done and probably many more mouse click functions. To avoid asking you to recreate everything to suit my workflow style what I thought was if you could add a quicklist item that would Toggle the Inserts F-J. I would then add this step before the rest of the commands and then repeat it again at the end to make them reappear. If you could do this then maybe you could do the same for the sends. This would provide a bit more flexibility to suit more peoples styles and setups. There is already a command to Toggle the Inserts or Sends for A-J but not just half.
For anybody else that is trying out the new Track setup commands what I also did was change a few things for some other options. With a lot of projects I import audio by dragging the audio in and Pro Tools creates all the tracks as generic default tracks etc. I took the command for MAKE 4 TRACK BUS TO DRUMS COLOR BROWN removed the first few lines that related to creating new tracks. This way I could select say the new drum tracks and run the command to setup them up. I also had an idea about if I wanted to adjust the color or use a color that isn't programmed. What I did was after the Batch clicked on Brown (or what ever color command you picked) I added a 10 second pause. This then gave me 10 seconds to choose and click on the color I wanted for those tracks and it would then continue on finishing the process. If I didn't click on another color during the 10 seconds then the Batch would just finish with the color that was originally programmed. You could also extend this command to include placing your favourite plugins on them as well. I am going to have a Batch for my Drums, Guitars, Bass, Keys, Vocals etc. This will speed up my initial setup time massively.
I am really loving this program and the possibilities are endless, it just takes a lot of patience and creative thinking to get the outcome you need.

Very good stuff. U can use 10ins, 5 sends just switch out the command "bus selected track" to "bus selected track 10ins,5sends" I will add all the other colors in the next update. I just wanted to get a few out before this last update
I will also put up a "Show F-J" inserts BC.

I didn't even notice the "bus selected track 10ins,5sends" that worked great.
I tried looking but didn't see one. Is there a command that will let me select an existing send like you just did for the output. I see there is commands for creating new sends and Auxs but I want it to just click on send A and then I can type the letters of the bus I want to send to. Again I would want this to work with 10ins,5sends.
